WoW Item Upgrades
Item upgrades--more commonly known as "upping"--are items and enchantments that can be applied to weapons and armor pieces, increasing their power. These upgrade components increase the level gauge of an item by a certain number of points. Their cost increases with their rarity.
A perfectly formed version of this armor is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community for its ability to minimize the damage caused by weapons.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are a vital part of the equipment crafting process. Upgrades can improve an item's stats or increase its strength, or even give it an added benefit. They also affect the item's appearance. While some upgrades are universal, others are governed by specific rules when applied to weapons or armor. The wrong upgrade could ruin a great weapon, and may even render it useless.
The general rule is that you can only upgrade an piece of equipment to the standard of the highest-level equipment in its class. This means that you can upgrade the helms, body armors and shields and gloves to the same level as their most elite counterparts. Weapons can be upgraded up to the equivalent of the sword. However, this doesn't boost the weapon's damage output and can reduce its value for trading.
To upgrade an item you need to purchase flightstones and crests. The amount of both depend on the item upgrade level and slot. Upgrades to swords, for instance, will cost more flightstones than an upgrade of a cloth. You may also get discounts on the amount of flightstones or crests needed to upgrade an item.
The diamond-shaped indicator on an item gets filled up when it's upgraded. Each step increases the item's Tier by one-third. Tier 3 is the highest level. It can take several upgrades to reach this level, depending on the item. It is essential to note that any procedure that could mount a disk must not be run during an upgrade. Also, you must make sure that the disk you are upgrading is not being used as an system drive.
Enchantment is a feature which lets you transform white or Common items into rare or blue ones. It is possible to do this at Eleanor's Enchantment Shop in the Capital District. This method does not add rune or gem slots to the equipment. However, it does change the dimensions of the equipment. It increases the size of the equipment by two categories smaller. For example an example, a Stormtrooper armor is Medium and a Blaster Pistol Small.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be utilized on any type of equipment. This includes armor and weapons. Upgrade components can be obtained from Random drops or side quests. Universal upgrades can be either temporary or permanent, and they can overlap with Power Ups. They can also be linear or branching.
Universal Upgrades begin when "internal technology" can provide sentient beings new capabilities that are extremely unlikely to develop naturally. Implants and prostheses are examples of internal technology. This type of technology is not the same as medical internal technology which seeks to restore the natural capabilities. It is the start of a process that will transform civilizations fundamentally. The universal upgrade can be an extended and complicated process. The process can be classified into two types one of complete success and the other of partial failure.
This is similar to ways that resort upgrades are implemented at Disney or Universal. In the case WDW it is typically due to operational requirements like room availability or overbooking. In the case of Universal the reason could be to transfer guests from one resort to another that is open. This is not intended as a sarcastic comment however, in the current climate it could be difficult to avoid.
Universal upgrades can be applied on any kind of equipment. In addition, they can be applied to a variety of items at a time. They are therefore more versatile than any other upgrade type. This can be a problem when upgrading items on a particular gear route. It can increase the item levels of all pieces along the path.
Before you upgrade, it's essential to stop PowerShell Universal and delete any existing application files. Then you can install new files by using the GetChildItem-Recurse command, or Unblock-File. To ensure that your PSU server is working correctly you must also conduct a basic verification.
Jewels
Jewels can be added to weapons, armor or accessories. The gems and reagents that are used to make them can provide different stat bonuses and secondary effect. They can be found in Golden Chests and Rift Incursions. They can be purchased from a Master craftsman for gold or Karma. Jewels can be made using a table for jewelry using five of the same reagent type and 1 gem to create the jewel of an upper or lower tier. This is similar to upgrading a stone a gemcrafting desk.
Jewel tiers are determined by the number of modifiers they possess, with higher-tier jewels having more than lower-tier ones. The primary effect is determined by a jewel's tier. The secondary effect is random. The players can use luck potions to increase their chances of receiving more beneficial secondary effects.
Like other upgrade components jewels can be inserted into an item that has a matching socket to enhance the item's. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both boost strength however, a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's strength when attacking. Jewels can be found in all weapon, armor and accessory slots. They can also be used with exotic trinkets or lower rarity trinkets that require a slot.
Like other DM mechanics, gems help to ensure that items feel special to their owners. With a range of upgrade options, jewels allow players to customize their equipment and find the right combination for their needs. They can upgrade item their equipment with new gems in the event that they feel that the original set is no longer appropriate.
Requirements
WoW's item upgrades allow players to increase the item levels of weapons, set pieces of equipment and trinkets beyond their current level of item from specific Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor sources. These upgrades boost the stats of items and some have special effects. (For instance Dolphin's grace grants swimmers dolphin-like grace). These upgrades can be obtained by upgrading items or reclaiming them. Different items will drop different upgrade components.
The upgrade process is a little complex but straightforward. The player chooses the item that he would like to upgrade and then clicks the Upgrade button. A window will appear with the different upgrades available for that item. The window will display the upgrade level, the type of upgrade bonus (such a Tech Points or a Quality Chance) and the cost of upgrading. The upgrade level is shown in an upper bar on the top of the screen. the type bonus for upgrading is displayed below it.
If the player decides to upgrade the Best item upgrade the item will be brought to the NPC who upgraded the item who will explain how to upgrade the item. The player will then have to provide the appropriate currency needed for the upgrade and may be required to supply additional materials when needed. These requirements are determined by the level of the item. Weapons have more stringent requirements as compared to armor.
Many upgrade recipes contain an acceptable material list' in addition to the necessary components. This list contains the other upgrade components that can be used to upgrade an item. It also contains an indicator that tells you whether or not it is a guarantee of a boost. This is important as the value of an upgrade can vary greatly depending on its 'extras.' For example the gear that is perfectly rolled can be worth more than the unupgraded version.
For the types of upgrades that require crests and valorstones, they will be displayed in a separate list below the main list. The crests and valorstones needed are determined by the level of the item, with weapon upgrades requiring the most Valorstones.
