Path of Exile Item Upgrading

In Path of Exile, item upgrading is one of the best ways to upgrade your gear without relying upon massive drops or trade. This article will show you how to upgrade your items efficiently.

Upgrades to equipment provide a bonus to the item's base stats. The bonus is according to the rarity and strength of the upgrade item component.

Components

Upgrade components are the items that improve your armor and weapons better. You can find them through destroying enemies, buying them from karma sellers or finding them in items-spheres. You can also salvage them from equipment that has the components or through salvage kits of high-end quality, such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components cannot be destroyed when you remove them from the item.

The main purpose of upgrade components is to enable an item to be upgraded but they also serve other functions. They can be stacked to increase the level of the amount of experience gained by upgrading weapons or gear. They can be forged for additional benefits. For example, a crafted glyph will boost the upgrade chance of its target, whereas an upgrade boost will boost the defense or attack quality of a weapon or armor.

Selecting an upgrade template in the GUI will allow you to bind it to an item. This will display the upgrade components that the item can be updated. You can also make use of the workbench to choose an upgrade template. In either case, an item upgrade will be upgraded once enough upgrade components have been gathered.

Each component has its own experience multiplier, which determines the amount of experience an item receives when it is upgraded with that component. Organic components, like have a higher multiplier of experience than mechanical components. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade with organic components until you have reached the experience multiplier of the next rank of weapon or gear, and then change to mechanical upgrades.

Each item has an upgrade maximum number that it is possible to receive. The number of upgrades available is determined by its upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade for the upgradeable item. The highest upgrade possible is a weapon with tier 10. The most commonly used upgrade is a gun with tier 6 and an armor upgrade for tier 5.

Sets

A set is a set of items that share the same bonus. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least once and the upgrade increases the amount of bonuses that are guaranteed. When you first upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. In subsequent upgrades, the primary stats will be boosted a little further (for example, +1 up to 12+/13+/14+) Each time you upgrade the item it will have one of its additional stats is boosted randomly.

Upgrades can also boost the damage base of a weapon. This could be crucial for certain types of weapons. Weapons aren't upgraded to give a higher maximum defence roll than their base. It is a good way to improve the value of a set and unique items, but it's important to remember that they may not be superior to a high-level runeword in any build.

If you're upgrading an item with bonuses the item can be rerolled a single time, and its guarantee will reset back to 0. The same amount of power die is used to reroll an item as it is used to upgrade it. However, the new item has different bonuses. The NPC [ArmorBoboko Boboko can upgrade your armor in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you will need the appropriate amount Minerals and Erons and a power dice of each kind. They can be purchased with Gold at the crafting table or in the Ultra Collection. NPCs also offer special rewards for each completed stage of the upgrade process. The reward can be rerolled one time, using the same materials as the original item.

Rerolling

If players have enough to reroll tokens, they are able to reroll any item that they've acquired during the game. When an upgraded item gets being rerolled, it can be exchanged for a version at a level 1 of the same item upgrader mod in another set. Reroll tokens are sold at the store for a small amount of in-game currency. They cannot be refunded. The new item upgraded will still come with the extra benefits of the previous one however its stats will differ also.

In addition to rerolling items players can also alter the identification of any equipment by engaging with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification from an armored weapon to a weapon, or vice versa, all the while retaining its base stats and the attributes it requires. The change will be permanent and will affect all characters that own the gear.

Players can also increase the item level of any equipped equipment by obtaining upgrade components and communicating with the NPC who upgrades the item. The cost will differ based on the upgrade track, the item type and number of crests. For weapons, each step up will add five percent to the damage.

Upgrades can increase the power of an item, however they also decrease the quality of an item. It is therefore essential to strike a balance between the two. Some items are not worth upgrading, whereas others need to be upgraded to make them more effective. A player may want to upgrade breakpoint armor with an interesting modification ( percent block chance or FHR) in order to see what else it can become.

The main reason people reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game is that they're trying to obtain a particular character or weapon that they can't otherwise obtain. The process of obtaining these items can be costly and time-consuming, and the RNG gods aren't always willing to play. The only alternatives are to spend real money or grind extensively. Rerolling is a very popular choice in Genshin Impact.

Leveling

You can choose whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when upgrading an item. However, this feature does absolutely nothing in the current game. I believe it was intended to be a way to give some value to rare items, but as the majority of gear drops quickly and is only upgraded one level up, you'll usually replace the item before it gets old enough. It's also not worth upgrading items using gem sockets, as the power of the gemstone will outweigh any increment in ilvl.

You will see a small box when you click the upgrade option for an item. It will show the template of the item, the crest, and the cost of Valorstone to increase the level of the item. Armor and weapons will have different costs, with the latter typically being more costly. The upgrade template outlines the stats to be added to an upgraded item level upgrade, along with its current ilvl.

The Crest and Valorstone costs are calculated by analyzing the item's current ilvl and the upgrade template. Additionally, the ilvl of the new upgraded item will be decreased by the template's lvl reduction percentage. For example, an upgrade of 8% will reduce the weapon's ilvl by 8 to 8%.

In addition to the base ilvl boost the item will also receive upgrades in other stats such as critical strike damage, damage from PvE and dodge, block, and parry rating. Those increases are also dependent on the upgrade template.

In the upgrade template you can see the amount of damage or defense that the item will receive when it is upgraded. This is shown below the cost and the upgrade percentages. All armor and weapons apart from practice equipment get these stats when they level up. The value of these stats will be determined by the market, with a perfectly perfectly rolled piece of armor or weapon able to command much more trade value than non-upp'd versions. This is also true for other armor pieces such as circlets or tiaras.
