World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as crit chance and PvE damage.
If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase 3% of its previous damage for each time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item upgrader mod is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with item's level.
Components
Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets in order to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade could be prefixed or a suffix that alters the name of the equipment to which it is used (for instance 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item upgrader kit's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players make stronger versions of the equipment that require the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.
A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop, or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.
The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-level version of the item will appear during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of how much they'll improve after a future reset.
The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it is likely that the item will become obsolete or even break if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes in the area around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.
You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus which will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
The use of Glyphs Glyph can boost all nodes that are connected to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. For example, a Druid should try to position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes but also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.
Leveling
The item upgrading system allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different number of components to reach, and the upgrade costs increase as the item is upgraded.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.
When an individual player upgrades a piece of equipment, the base item is replaced by the new item. This means that the same armor piece will get a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have a unique bonus. This can be a downside in that the item could be more expensive even if you do not require it.
item upgrader mod upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have an initial level and a completely different set of extra bonuses. This can be beneficial however it shouldn't be done often as it could waste resources.
Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or swims like dolphins). This item upgrader mod can be upgraded several times, increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is extremely valuable in PvP, as the best version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.
Requirements
The upgrade of items allows players to boost the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also improve the strength of their base defense and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every when you upgrade an item it is given a chance to fail--the failure rate increases the more you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will cause the item to revert back to its original condition, which requires the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.
If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonuses it gained, including crit chance and attack damage, and all other effects that are associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or reload speed). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded receives a crit chance boost it will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item may have five upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. Regardless, the player must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade will require a different amount of the upgrade ingredients.
