Greenpower green power green power mobility reviews - telegra.ph - - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles
Greenpower designs, manufactures and distributes a variety of heavy and medium-duty electric power scooters vehicles. This includes school buses, transit buses, cargo buses, buses for cargo, and shuttles.
EV Star is a zero-emission vehicle that has a high degree of customisation. It's also fully FTA certified and Buy America compliant. It provides a wide range of options, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery configurations.
EV Star
GreenPower Motor Company produces a complete line of high-floor and low-floor all-electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship vehicle, and can be adapted to suit a wide range of applications. The platform's design is based on a simple paper sheet, which allows for the best positioning of the battery pack and a lower center-of-gravity. This results in higher range/payload ratios.
The EV Star REEFERX is designed to meet the needs of mid-to-last mile refrigerated delivery as well as catering applications. The refrigerated truck's class 4 design's one wall structure in the interior and higher insulation than traditional trucks allows for seamless sanitation, better temperature control and a more extended life. The EV Star REEFERX has a higher capacity for cargo and an industry-leading payload to allow for zero emission goods or passenger transportation.
GreenPower joined forces with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems. This will enable fleets to easily transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW.
We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on the local highway for a few hours, and found it to be simple to drive, and comfortable to drive for long distances. The EV9 is able to suppress the sound of traffic and wind driving along the highway. It rides smoothly over ruts and humps. The acceleration is surprisingly quick and the vehicle has adjustable regenerative braking that allows "one pedal driving" by simply lifting the accelerator.
The EV9 provides a large range and can be recharged within three hours or less at home, or using any commercial charger. The driver has the option of choosing between two operating modes: eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode prioritizes the torque and cruise control, as well as handling while sport mode focuses on speed. Both modes are fun to drive and offer a unique experience for those who have never been in a vehicle with an electrical system before.
GreenPower offers a variety of other electric vehicles which include a multi-purpose electric minibus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be used as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit bus, vanpool or a paratransit vehicle.
GreenPower is already producing around 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is working to replace their fleet of old diesel vehicles with 100 fully electric vehicles. GreenPower will increase production to meet the demands of the Biden Administration which wants to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested in Altoona and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant and ADA compliant. This makes them eligible for federal transit grants. Check back when we follow the AV Star on its demonstration tour later this year. We will be sure to give more details about this innovative EV!
