What is a bedside crib?
A bedside crib (also known as bassinet or co-sleeper) is a small baby crib that is attached to your adult bed, allowing your baby to sleep comfortably next to you. The cots usually have a side that can be adjusted so that you can easily reach your baby during the night for feeding and comforting. This is particularly helpful for mothers who are recovering from an op. Many are portable or foldable which means you can use them to travel or as an interim solution for infants who aren't ready to move into a crib that is large enough.
