World of Warcraft - item level upgrade Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to increase the gear score of an item up to 700, and then add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you decide to take them to the Kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded to increase their stats (like a perfectly broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not change significantly after an upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats, such as damage to attack, crit chance PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons also have a flat bonus which increases their damage per second. Many weapons also have a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a unit. This bonus could be more than the damage that an upgrade alone can cause.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity as well as its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it is required to use a higher tier of Smithing Stones, at which the number will be reset to one.

Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. This is usually a positive thing, but it can also have negative consequences. For items that are only used in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them can render them useless unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.

Armor items can be upgraded to increase their stats. For example, if you upgrade chests or helms this will increase the defense of its base, while a belt and gloves will enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor also offers a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it may reroll to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain after upgrading, along with the values of these stats. This means that an upgrade from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by circular arrows within the menu for items. This will roll the item and alter its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's level nor tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference to your survival. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which can make the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the greater defense you have for your character, the greater health you will get from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

To improve your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all, and each requires you to complete a unique side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed your main quest and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees required to complete each level will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade items. For instance, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep up with a good-sized group of enemies in the majority of cold climates, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, giving you enough protection to withstand an entire raid with a handful of friends.

You can't upgrade your armor like weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior, you should focus on upgrading your armor for physical power or spell power. It is also recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you will still be wearing at the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock some perks on your armor. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to beat the game. For example the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have some upgrades to the chest armor and helmets so that you can sneak around some monsters.

Potions

Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed, give the user a temporary status effect. There are five types of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.

Potion upgrades require a certain amount XP. This can be obtained by crafting them on a craft table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI in which you can select the potions you want to upgrade items and the amount of XP they'll give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.

Once a poton is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade unless you take it out again or break the bottle within which it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change its name.

There were a few updates to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for example have now a duration of 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the item hover display. The potion table is constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. The same is true for using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will draw out the liquid, and then refill the bottle.

There are also simmering potions made using splash and dragon breath potions. Similarly, a lingering potions can be enhanced by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as the potion of leaping, the decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket can be a small, inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an object or decoration that serves a function but isn't particularly significant, such as a thimble. In some cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons or armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. In contrast to other upgrades for items, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their status.

Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of each zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available using tokens, gold, or fragments from rare trinkets.

Upgrades to trinkets are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new one. You can upgrade a trinket with as little 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same base level as the old trinket however, it will also come with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

When the old Trinkets are no longer useful, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value over time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most important items first. This usually means the Best item upgrader-in-slot items for their class, then their secondaries, and finally other pieces of gear that they will not be replacing soon (for example, a ring or cloak). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when deciding the items to upgrade. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should be focusing on upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and chest.

Once they have become useless trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket has an additional 1% bonus. However, a re-upgrade is likely to ruin the previous trinket in the event that it is not salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than purchasing a new one.
