1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar for navigation and creates maps of floors and rooms.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which has linoleum in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms and also a medium-pile and a large rug. It was able to drive right up to walls without hitting them, and even managed to drive across thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, but it sometimes was unable to navigate down the stairs in one pass. The S1 also did a fantastic job cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on the flat side against the floor and lifting itself when it reached carpet or rug.
The docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water prior to each mopping session. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for about twelve cleaning sessions before it has to be empty, but this will vary depending on how much you use the mop.
The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. It is necessary to regularly wash out the tank that has been contaminated to avoid it becoming blocked. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors frequently to avoid them from getting clogged by dust or dirt. However, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other combos that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a reliable option for cleaning needs. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction and offers numerous innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans furniture. The mopping feature is impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor, as opposed to just dragging the pad across it. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station when required.
The robot comes with an easy interface that guides you throughout the process. It comes with a rechargeable hand vacuum to reach those areas the robot hoover and mop isn't able to reach and two water tanks that are automatically empty and filled as required. It comes with a range of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, with strong suction that easily removes all kinds of debris, including the tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty solid as well, though it is sometimes hung up on the small carpets or area mats that I have in my house (which is something you can reduce by defining a virtual boundary in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite excellent, too, with a pair of spinning mop pads that actually lift and scrub the floors, instead of just dragging the pad over it. The mops are also cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station as required. Mops can also be refilled at the top of the station if they are required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new flagship robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-off maintenance making it a top contender for our best mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush guarantee a thorough, custom-designed clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing fine and large debris from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our test's most filthy areas well, and keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other mess. The sweeping power of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that extends to reach hard-to-reach areas, and mop pads that run across baseboards.
Its navigation is smart it can navigate through narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It can move from one room to the next without having to reverse direction. This is beneficial for homes that have multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than some competitors however, and tends to leave a wide space around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
Its app has a streamlined and intuitive interface that will be easy to use for both new and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleanings. You can also alter suction power, mop setting and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. It can be controlled through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri which allows you to keep an eye on its progress from any location. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. But, you'll require a reliable internet connection to use it through the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of removing dirt and debris, but it can't always reach every last particle of dust. That's why it's important to use your regular vacuum at least once every week, particularly to remove dust from corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot vacuum cleaner best designed to accomplish exactly that. It is easy to connect to your WiFI network at home and works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, which includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It has a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but it saves price by eliminating mopping functions and using a less expensive plastic body.
Although it's no longer able to mop floors, the Q5 still has the best automatic vacuum mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robot at this price. It's got a powerful suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It also has a clever app that lets you set your floor's type and schedule cleanings. It also has an automatic vacuum cleaner and mop refill of the water tank and wash system that allows hands-free operation.
The mops are also quite impressive with 2700Pa of power to take on dust, dirt, and pet hair on hard floors and carpets. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't have any problems with carpets with high piles or area carpets, but it didn't pick up cables or kitty litter, which is no surprise considering it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we have tested. It also has a unique method to map your home this will allow it to enter places that other vacuums are unable to reach. This device also stores dust in a larger bin which means you have to empty it less often. It also has washable filters, which further reduces costs. The robot can recognize carpets, and increase suction if necessary. You can also mark off areas you would like to be able to keep from using the app.
