The item upgrader is an additional widget to the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. The Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no benefit in terms of gameplay other than making it easier to purchase upgrades.
Boosters
With an upgrader for items you will be able to enjoy numerous bonuses. These can include stats and extra bonuses. These bonuses can be used on armor, weapons, and trinkets. They can be used to improve the abilities of the character, or can be used to add an element of variety to an existing build.
The World of Warcraft upgrade system allows players to upgrade their gear by paying a currency fee to an item upgrading upgrader. Some items come with built-in boos, which is less beneficial when upgraded. For instance the Goldwrap has an extra potion slot. These are usually upgraded to increase the value of a perfect or near-perfect item.
Costs
Upgrades have certain costs associated with them. The first is the cost of performing the upgrade. This cost can be expensive and is dependent on the new ilvl of the Best Item Upgrader and the number perks it gains. Upgrades to a higher level (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) are costly.
The second is the cost of the materials required to upgrade. The items used are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and over) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). The quantity of these items needed can be found in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.
It takes time to upgrade an item upgrader kit. Based on the magnitude of the upgrade, it could take anywhere from 8 to 12 hours. The base stats of an upgraded item are calculated based on its new ilvl and other characteristics. This calculation determines the updated Armor Class bonus, damage dice, as well as other important statistics. In certain cases upgrades can provide additional perks.
