Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are increasingly capable, acing our tests for cleaning and taking on different types of floors. Choose models that allow you to choose between multiple modes, self-empty and clean stairs.
A lot of the top models are compatible with your smartphone. Look for an application that lets you save maps, schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and customize the S1's behaviour.
When I tried the S1, it was quick to identify the downstairs area, which has Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, as well as carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without colliding with them, and even managed to traverse thresholds that were raised in the room without issue, though it occasionally had trouble navigating down stairs in a single pass. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and lifted itself when it reached carpets or rug.
After every mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank onboard with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock adds an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1's tank of water holds enough for about a dozen cleaning sessions before it needs to be empty, but it will differ based the amount you use the mop.
The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. For this, you'll need to clean the water tank that is dirty regularly to keep it from becoming clogged. It is also necessary to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to prevent them from getting blocked by dirt or dust. But, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, especially compared to other combos that require more care.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs All-in-one robotic vacuum and mop is an efficient solution for cleaning. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with numerous innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that avoids obstructions and cleans furniture. The mopping feature is impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor rather than simply drag the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned and dried at the base station when required.
This robot combo is easy to setup and use, with a clear interface that walks you through the process. It comes with a rechargeable hand vacuum for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot can't reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and filled whenever needed. It also has a number of settings that can be used to fine tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that is able to easily remove dust and debris that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also decent, but it can get stuck on small area mats and rugs around my home (which you can reduce by defining virtual boundaries in the app). Mopping capabilities are excellent with a pair of spinning mops which can lift and scrub the floor, rather than just dragging the pad across it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops are also refilled from the top of the base station as required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new flagship robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our top robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush ensure that an efficient, custom-designed clean is completed.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing fine and large debris from both hard floors and carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests with ease while avoiding pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by a side brush that extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that is placed along baseboards.
Its navigation is nimble it can navigate tight spaces and negotiating stairs without missing a beat. It can go from one room to the next without having to change direction. This is useful for homes that have multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than some competitors However, it tends to leave a thick distance over obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
Its app has a streamlined and intuitive interface that will be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app allows you to plan and manage cleanings, alter the suction power and mopping settings and view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. It can be operated via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri and allows you to keep an eye on its progress from anywhere. You can even tap into the X40 Ultra's camera remotely, for live video surveillance. You will require a reliable WiFi connection to use the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
robot cleaner with mop vacuums are fantastic at removing dirt and debris, but they're not able to get every speck of dust. It is important to clean often, at least once a week. This is especially important for dust that builds up in corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mop, is made to do just that. It's easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and is compatible with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more useful addition to your routine of cleaning.
The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, such as the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but it saves cost by removing mopping and using a cheaper plastic body.
The Q5 is still one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping machines we've seen at this price, even though it's not equipped to clean your floors. It has powerful 5500Pa suction and an automatic emptying system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It also has a clever app that lets you set your floor's type and schedule cleanings, as well as an best automatic vacuum cleaner refill of the water tank and wash system that allows hands-free operation.
The mops are also quite impressive with 2700Pa of power to tackle dirt, dust and pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was among the few robots we tested did not show issues with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it was able to not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise as it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we have tested, it also has a unique method to map your home, which really helps it get into places that other vacuums can't reach. The K10 Plus also is able to collect more dust in the bin, which means you don't need to empty it as often. Furthermore, it comes with washable filters that further lower the expenses associated with using the device. The robot can recognize carpets, and increase suction when needed. The app allows you to mark off areas you want to stay clear of this is a useful feature.
