World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
item upgrader mod upgrades provide players with the ability to upgrade equipment that they already own. This can be done at any item upgrader NPC.
Generally upgrades increase an items main stat and can give it extra benefits, based on the item upgrade type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs and Goldwrap for caster builds.
Armour
Armour is among the most important factors that keep Link protected from damage in the majority of situations. While it can't be upgraded like weapons, it can be improved in various ways to improve its defence capabilities.
Armour is designed to protect people or animals from injury or harm from direct physical attack or from a variety of activity or environmental hazards. In the past, armour was primarily constructed from leather or fabric, but later metal protections were used as well for military purposes, particularly such as heavy cavalry or combat drones.
As with weapons there are a variety of ways that armor can be upgraded however, most of them will require a visit to one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has its own level of upgrades and more will provide higher levels of protection, but requiring a higher cost in rupees and the materials needed to unlock.
The first thing to note about Armor Upgrades is that they are upgrades that last forever which means that after they've been put in place, they can't be replaced unless you own another piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. It is important that you only apply the highest grade of upgrades to your equipment and ensure that you have the materials needed to complete them.
You can find the upgrades you need in many locations throughout Hyrule. These include shrines, merchants, and even enemies. They are usually marked with a gold circle or a blue triangle, and are available in large numbers as you progress through the game. While they might appear randomly, there's an opportunity that obtaining certain upgrade components will lead to a quest that will reward players with more.
It is important to remember that, although the level provided by each upgrade may vary however, it will always be more than nothing. This is because a full set of upgraded armour will grant you a high defense boost that protects you from all forms of attacks, except magic, making it a powerful weapon for any class.
Weapons
You can upgrade your guns by using special upgrades that create a truly unique weapon. They can increase the damage, change the weapon's stats in order to adapt to your particular build or even unlock new attachments like unique ammo types, enchantments and more aesthetic options.
You'll need both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon must also be above a certain level for the upgrade to be effective and the majority of weapons can only take one upgrade at one time.
You can find weapons upgrade components scattered throughout the world and from enemies and can be purchased from vendors. The upgrade components themselves are a combination of components that can be put into weapons, armor trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to provide an attribute bonus or other effect when they are in use. The equipment must be a certain level to accept the upgrade. It is able to be upgraded in the same way as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a mix of Smithing Stones and Runes, and they are used to improve the stats of a base weapon and improving its scaling with other stats. These upgrades can be purchased from enemies in the open or from merchants. They can also be dropped by combat.
There are two NPCs that can upgrade your weapons: Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs will take your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a more powerful version of the weapon as well as an enhancement.
It's important to prioritize upgrading your Best item upgrade-in-slot items first, and then those you won't be replacing soon. Upgrade your weapon first, and then upgrade your shoulders, chest feet, hands, and shoulders if you plan to play an asymmetrical build. The same principles apply to Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that certain products may be superior to others depending on your playstyle. The same is true for Armour, with some reforges being better than others.
Magic Items
A character is able to upgrade only one magic item. If an upgrade project is canceled and the next upgrade for the item upgrading won't begin. Magic items that are upgraded cost twice the gold they would normally cost to create or purchase however they may have extra benefits.
A magical item is any item that has some special properties or effects. These are typically weapons, but they could also be shields, armors or cloaks as well as potions. They can also be rings, scrolls, or other items. Some of these items are sentient.
Most magic items can be upgraded to be equipped with additional capabilities. This makes them more useful to players, or could help them conquer an especially difficult challenge. An infused weapon might provide bonuses to damage against a particular kind of enemy, for example. This is particularly useful for those who have reached the point where they are likely to face one type of monster in dungeons.
A ring with an infusion could grant protection against piercing, bludgeoning or slashing damages from nonmagical attacks (not including silvered ones) until the next time the character takes a lengthy rest. This is especially beneficial for melee fighters or anyone who wants to avoid the cost and hassle of purchasing a shield.
Certain items enchanted by magic have special powers that allow the character to cast spells in addition to the ones on the list of spells for their class. This can be useful for characters that have difficulty keeping their spell slots full because of multiclassing. These enchanted objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana), and the spell is determined by rolling a table based upon the number of Intelligence point expended.
Other enchanted items might let the user change their appearance, or create a completely new appearance. These can be particularly useful for those who have to leave their home, or are in a situation where they may not be accepted. A magical item could grant them an invisibility effect, or even make them invisible to all but a select few.
Utility Items
Utility items are any equipment that isn't part of the categories of Armor or Clothing and come with a range of capabilities. In contrast to weapons and armor they are not a single utility item that can conflict with another. Most utility items have an effect that a player can activate by using them however, some come with additional capabilities that activate when the user presses an action button or activates an ability.
Generally, the most common type of utility item is the Flashlight, which illuminates the surrounding area. Other useful items include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player to hover in mid-air when moving and the Jetpack that allows the player to accelerate in all directions while on the ground. Many useful items can be immediately created in the Engineering section while others are unlockable through research projects or experimental projects in the Proving Ground.
In addition to the items that are available in the normal inventory, players can unlock some more useful items of utility by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Some of these items can be upgraded for more effective use.
Most utility items increase a specific combat attribute or provide the player with some sort of advantage in navigation. For instance, Sharpening stones crafted by the Weaponsmith increase Ferocity and Power, while Maintenance Oils crafted by the Huntsman boost Concentration and Healing Power. Other useful items like Writs and Theses created by the Scribe, can be used to give players either a boost in damage or condition damage.
XCOM soldiers can equip one utilitarian item to begin the campaign. An additional slot is available once you have completed certain research, engineering, or research projects on the Proving Ground. In the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are made available by equipping the Grenade Launcher which lets the player equip a Smoke Grenade or Bomb in another grenade slot. an offensive grenade can be placed in the main slot for grenades.
