It's important to consider your family's needs and priorities when shopping for a double stroller. This will help you narrow down your options and concentrate on the most essential features.
The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 double umbrella stroller is a well-made, high-end product that folds up in a compact manner. It has large canopies and an enormous storage container. It's also easy to move.
Lightweight
The top double travel buggy umbrella strollers are compact and lightweight, yet offer a lot. They're not as heavy as a traditional jogger or stroller and are usually smaller when folded. While they don't have the whistles, bells and storage space of larger strollers, they do have large canopy areas and reclined seats.
A compact double buggy sale umbrella stroller is a popular option for families who travel together. It folds easily and can be tucked away in most carry-on bags or trunks for planes. It's an excellent option for narrow doorways and crowded streets. It's also cheaper than the "travel stroller" with more features you could use on a daily basis.
Some of the top double umbrella strollers, including the UPPAbaby G-Link 2, have certain features that you can't find on the lighter options. This double umbrella stroller features hanging storage pockets, snack and toys trays on each seat, as well as two cupholders for parents. Other options that are lightweight, such as the Joovy Kooper X2, offer more bells and whistles than you'd expect from a double stroller umbrella. It also offers the ability to provide a more comfortable ride for both children due to padded seats as well as a deeper recline on each seat. The more features you pick the more heavy the stroller. Also, due to the way strollers are able to open and close, you'll want to be cautious not to let tiny fingers touch hinges or frames, especially when your child is seated in a seat.
Compact
The smallest double umbrella strollers, when folded are easy to maneuver and fit well in tight spaces. They're an excellent choice for parents who plan to use their stroller often on the sidewalks, in shopping centers, or to travel around tourist destinations like the aquarium, zoo or museums. There are two types of umbrellas that are lightweight with very few features and those with many comfort and convenience options in addition to their small size. Some of the better examples are large pop-out canopies with SPF 50 and peekaboo windows, padded seats and 5-point safety harnesses for both seats, reclining seats, and adjustable leg rests. It is also important to consider whether you'd like a car seat attachment, a parent tray and the amount of storage space in each seat.
The Delta Children LX Double Umbrella is an excellent example of the bare-bones minimalist stroller that is extremely light and incredibly affordable. The stroller weighs only 18 lbs and includes a convenient carrying strap that can be schlepped easily in the trunk of your car, or a front hall closet when it is not in use. Its front wheels have precision technology and swivel to provide an easy ride and smooth steering. Another option that is highly recommended is the new Kinderwagon Hop, a super narrow tandem umbrella stroller that's lightweight and easy to maneuver through doorways. The model was out of production for a few decades, but it is now back and is worth looking into. It also has three panels of canopy that provide better sun protection than smaller models.
Easy to Fold
The most basic umbrella strollers fold down like umbrellas and weigh less than other kinds. They are easy to carry, lift and stow and are ideal when you can't or don't want to bring your full-size stroller due to any reason (traveling by plane, touring a foreign country, visiting grandma). These strollers are often not as feature-rich as full-featured models, but should still offer the essentials like storage space and a sun canopy.
The most recent version of the UPPAbaby G-Link 2 is lighter and narrower than its predecessor, with a more efficient front wheel design that enhances the maneuverability and pushability. It's an excellent option for a double travel stroller--and it's approved by Disney!

This type of stroller is replacing the classic double umbrella stroller. It could be your best choice if seeking a light, versatile stroller.
The majority of double umbrella strollers that we recommend are side-by-side models. The exception is the Kinderwagon Hop, a tandem umbrella stroller that's extremely light and easy to fold (though it's also relatively small in width). This is a great option if you want a simple, cheap double umbrella stroller that you can easily put in your trunk for short trips. It comes with two hanging storage bag on the back of each seat, and cup holders for the parents. It's so bare bones that it's not going to help your children get through the airport without getting them cranky, but it will help to make the trip more comfortable.
Comfortable Seats
Most umbrella strollers aren't equipped with a variety of bells and whistles because they are designed for one goal: to transport two children from one place to the other. They typically come with comfortable, spacious seats, but no recline options or all-terrain wheels.
The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 stands out. It is a small double buggy and light double umbrella stroller that comes with two seats that weigh just 18 pounds. This makes it a fantastic option for those who travel. It has a huge canopy with three panels that protect children from the sun. Both seats have a good amount of storage but not as much as our top picks. It also comes with the essential 5-point safety harnesses in both seats, as well as peek-a-boo windows in their canopies.
The only downside to the G-Link is that it lacks the belly bar and snack tray that we like to see in our top picks, but those aren't essential features for an umbrella stroller, anyway. As with any umbrella stroller, it must be handled with care so that fingers - whether your own or children's get caught in the hinges of the frame that fold and mechanisms.
In the majority of double umbrella strollers, the seats are side-by-side. However, there are models with inline seating (one seat is in front of the other). Inline models can be easier to maneuver through doorways than side-byside models, but they usually have a difference in seating options which could cause your kids to argue over who gets the best seat. Our previous testers were evenly divided on this matter It's an individual choice.
Safety
When selecting a stroller to your child Safety should be the top priority. The design of a pushchair double stroller umbrella can make or break its performance. They tend to be narrower and lighter compared to other double umbrella strollers. This makes them easier to maneuver through tight spaces such as airports and city streets.
Certain models, such as the Kinderwagon Hop are side-byside and are easy to push in small spaces. This stroller is perfect for parents who travel with young kids and those who require a comfortable and fast way to get around. It's also small enough to fit easily into the trunk or in a storage space.
The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 is another model that is worth considering. It is one of the most lightweight double strollers we've tested. It is surprisingly sturdy design for an umbrella style product. It also features a large storage basket that is easily accessible with reclining seats, as well as an open window. The seat can also hold 35 lbs and meets Disney stroller dimensions.
Other models, such as the Jeep PowerGlide Double Stroller, might be simpler in appearance and may not come with as many features.
