World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
Upgrades to items allow players to increase the gear score of an item upgrading to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.
Certain items can be upgraded to increase their stats (like an ideally made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while others like weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade item, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. They also have an unchanging bonus that increases their damage per second. A lot of weapons also come with an unaffected bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a group. In certain instances, this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon can sustain by itself.
The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity and level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.
Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. While this is usually an excellent thing but it can also have negative consequences too. Upgrades can make things impossible to use, unless you are extremely lucky.
Items of armor can also be upgraded to boost their effectiveness. This can increase the defense of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These will increase their required strength and agility. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it can sometimes reroll down to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading, as well as the relative values of those stats. This means that the weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.
A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by circular arrows within the menu for items. This will reroll an item upgrader mod and alter its stats, but not reset the weapon's levels, or tie it to the account status.
Armor
Adding a few upgrades to your armor could make a an enormous difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets offer massive increases in resistance to curses, poison fire, magic, and other. This can make it easier to traverse difficult areas. In general, the greater defense your character has, the more value you get from every point of health you possess and it's crucial to improve your armor as much as you can.
To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all, and each requires you to complete a specific side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main side quest and completed the corresponding fountain and then you can speak to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.
The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. In general, you'll need at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, for instance can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which allows you to keep up in frigid environments with a large number of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded to +20 defense so that you can survive a raid with friends.
It isn't possible to upgrade armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior, you should focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical strength or the power of spells. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still wear at the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. Generally, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be useful to have some upgrades to your helmets and chest armor that permit you to sneak past certain monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, provide an immediate effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions, each having a specific set of effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, enhancing the effectiveness of their effects. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.
Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount of XP. This can be earned by making them on a table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the upgrade price will vary based on the type of potion you want to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.
To upgrade a potion simply right-click on it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI where you can choose the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it won't degrade until you use it again or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the mechanism of potions. For example splash potions now have the duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item). The table of potion can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. Additionally, using a potentio on a full cauldron drains the contents and replenishes the bottle.
Finally, there are simmering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to extend their effects. The table of potion ingredients is now arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as the potion of leaping and the decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket can be described as a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to a small ornament or object that serves a function but isn't important, like a Thimble. In some cultures, a trinket is used to show affection or friendship between family members.
Trinkets can be upgraded by players in addition to weapons or armor, as well as potions. These can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. As with other upgrades to items trinkets are able to be traded out at any time without losing their stats.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.
Upgrading a trinket is an economical alternative to buying new ones. It is possible to upgrade players for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same base level as the old trinket, but it also comes with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.
When the old Trinkets are not usable they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.
In general players should make upgrades to their highest priority items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and finally other equipment that they won't be replacing anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). When deciding the items to upgrade, players should consider their class's preferred statistics. For example, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should prioritize upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and chest.
Once they have become useless trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket has an additional 1% bonus. Re-upgrading will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is salvaged with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than purchasing a new one.
