Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
This is your time to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most advanced robot to date is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills quickly leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning times and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off by speaking to it.
The design is also more appealing than the competition. It has a sleek, top piece that looks like a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying, which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ swiftly removed dust, dirt, and hair from pets. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering around the floor. It even was able to take small gravel and sand, which most other robots couldn't do. And it did all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.
The j7+, while not as intelligent as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ best self cleaning robot vacuum-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot and cannot clean the stairs, is still an excellent choice for those who require both mopping and vacuum. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to tell if they are working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors, a hybrid is the best inexpensive robot vacuum option. These machines are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also have a number of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and even the capability to dry and wash mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be expensive at retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not fail to impress. This is their least expensive auto-empty model. While it doesn't have certain features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing compromise a bit in order to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums can really be a bit sloppy. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few misses in corners and along walls.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled via a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. Through the app, you can begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map, or change the labels of rooms.
If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make this robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed emptying the bin can be done easily. It also comes with a large LCD display, which is nice to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't necessary for everyone, but it can help you effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is one of the most innovative in the market, but it's expensive.
The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. The station's main selling point is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions, and chores that other robots would leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot clean and charged.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive and efficient, too. It's the only robot best automatic vacuum I've tested that does an excellent job of removing the dust from floors with no. It's also not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs, meaning it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.
Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the higher price price.
If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are other options available. Many eufy models cost significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper and has more features, such as stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets with low pile as well as high-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of producing robot vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up, just connect one of the side brushes, turn it on and connect your charging dock. The app walks you through several steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to leave the dock close to an electrical outlet and plenty of room to allow it to move but.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact and can be tucked away under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design isn't as ostentatious when compared to rival models. It has a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It uses an integrated map to draw an image of the immovable items that are in its path. It can remember the items it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. When it's time to recharge, it will automatically return to its starting point and begins house cleaning robot where it left off.
The sleek G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, offers the same battery life and performs better on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and comes with a set of boundaries to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30, on the other hand, is more affordable and is much easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't need emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky material such as cereal.
