Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry and wet messes in one session, without having to switch between devices. They also can save space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads with an appropriate dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, full dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in no time at all.

The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops spin at fast speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly app that lets you select the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you can ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. The only issue it has is that it can crash into walls and objects at a high speed, but an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's avoided.

A large LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks must be completed including emptying the debris tray, and rinsing its dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can run for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot cleaner with mop vacuum and mop. It's not like the model from last year, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might miss.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tested the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates dual cameras that can detect objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its direction in a way that is best automatic vacuum and mop and clean around the objects without stumbling.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek angular design is eye catching and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.

The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. It is possible to change the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor battery life. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops to allow voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering the performance of this model.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its clever design permits customized and efficient cleaning while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry debris, including pet hair and dust. It has a mop of high quality that cleans hard floors without the need for a pad. In addition the X40 is quiet in operation, only producing occasional bursts of noise when switching between modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.

Another notable feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. It can also get under low-profile furnishings, making it an excellent option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots, which is a nice touch that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.

Contrary to other robots, which are restricted to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and understand and the X40 has many smart features that are easy to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features which make it a good option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans mop pads and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you when it gets overflowing, reducing the need for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot vacuum cleaner reviews is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has many features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mop heads, makes use of two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can clean pet hair and other small dirt particles - in addition to removing spills and wet spots.

Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is an excellent feature since it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robot vacuum with mop vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.

There's a wealth of options available, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and alter a variety of preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has many options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also offers several features that aren't available on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing but it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
