The Best robot vacuum cleaner UK Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers can be a great option for those who want to remove mopping from their list of tasks. Some models have superior mapping and obstacles avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free cleaning.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than the other models, making it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.
It is very quick and does a great job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It can automatic vacuum cleaner carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one motion. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to pick up dirt, pet hair, and poop effortlessly. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help draw out debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency is less impressive, but not by much. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into narrow corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is simple to install, and it works well. However should you purchase this vacuum solely for mopping it is important to be aware of this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.
The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and intelligently. This will result in an efficient, consistent clean that is also quite quick.
In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach a wide range of surface areas. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can extend to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be washed and dried to prevent build-up and reduce odors.
App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo allows you to alter the strength of suction and select between a back-andforth or more randomized pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it should make, which will affect the speed at which the device can traverse your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and carpets.
This device has a fairly expensive price tag, but it has a variety of smart features. It is important to remember, however, that the device is subject to recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For example the brushroll should be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.
The robot best automatic vacuum mop has an excellent Amazon rating and includes many physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean button' and a Home' button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be a good option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home tidy without spending too much time on chores. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus best robot vacuum cleaner and mop vacuum is a two-in-one vacuum and mop. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean that you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.
Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a amazing job of collecting hair from pets. It was able to collect the majority of hair shed by our cats and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was quiet and had some nice jingles that indicated when it was starting or finished its work.
The app was too easy and you had to switch the modules every time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app is not able to save multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want a smart robot that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it does have some unique features which make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its huge dock which doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.
The base also has a variety of control buttons that allow you to start a cleaning job, recall the robot, or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their kids messing around with the best automatic vacuum and mop.
Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.
The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it gets entangled in a blockage like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It will not work until you manually untangle it. This is a rare event, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its app.
Another issue that could be a problem is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You will need to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal apart from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.
On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot vacuums that mop thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a huge difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxy units.
