Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and best automatic vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills and stains) in one go without the need to change devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads using a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is easy, and the quick-start guide gets you up and running in no time. You'll have a a full dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app which lets you choose the kind of cleaning you want for each room.
You can, for example request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are superb as the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only minor issue is that it can hit objects and walls at a high speed, but an instant glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance jobs must be completed like emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the tank by itself, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can operate for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. In contrast to the model of last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that enables it to pick up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.
The Roborock model, just like the other two I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by having a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It is able to change its direction automatically and clean around them, without missing a step.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek and angular design is striking and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin is auto-filling.
The only issue I have discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to remove the mount for washing manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot vacuum cleaners best touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and set up these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops in order to enable voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its clever design permits customised and efficient cleaning while also saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry mess, including pet hair and dust. It also comes with a high-quality mop that makes hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also has a side brush that can be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture with curved edges such as table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to reach under furniture with a low profile making it an ideal choice for small apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots, which is a nice touch that helps the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by repeated back-andforth movements.
In contrast to other robots that are restricted to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop simultaneously. It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpets and mop only hard floors or reverse the process. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and intuitive, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, view floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to clean and has many convenient features, making it an ideal choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes mop pads and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It also can detect whether the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot hoover that's among the most expensive available however, it comes with many extra features that set it apart. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This feature is great because it stops mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen in other robot vacuum cleaner best vacuum and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.
There are plenty of options, including the ability to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. They can be set through the app or buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options for customising the cleaning routine, and there are many features that other robots do not have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, instead of using the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a little heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and it is sturdy and well-built. The mopping system is well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice touch.
