Many of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Find an app that allows you to save schedules, maps and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations available. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and customize the behavior of the S1.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which includes linoleum in the kitchen, dining area and bathrooms and a carpet in the middle and a large area. It was able to drive close to walls and even cross raised thresholds without issue. However it had some issues navigating down the stairs in one pass. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and lifted itself when it was near carpets or carpets.
Before each mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and refills the water tank with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough water for around a dozen cleaning sessions before it has to be emptied, though this will vary depending on how often you use the mop.
The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. For this, you'll need to rinse out the water tank that is dirty regularly to avoid it from clogging. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors frequently to avoid them from getting blocked by dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-1 robot mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a great choice to meet your cleaning needs. The Ecovacs robot vacuum comes with 8,700Pa suction power and comes with a number advanced features like voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and eliminates obstacles. Its mopping capability is remarkable, with mops rotating that actually lift and scrub the floor rather than simply drag the pad across it. The mops can be dried and cleaned at the base station if required.
The robot is simple to set up and use, with a clear interface that guides you through the process. It also comes with a hand-vacuum that can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot cannot reach. There are two water tanks which are automatically emptied or filled. It comes with a variety of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does well at vacuuming, with strong suction that easily removes most of the debris, and even tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are good, too, even though it can sometimes get caught up on the small carpets or area mats that I have in my home (which is something you can reduce by defining a virtual boundary in the application). The mopping capabilities are quite impressive, and comes with a pair of spinning mops that actually lift and scrub the floors instead of just dragging the pad over it. The mops can also be cleaned with heated water, and dried in the base station as required. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was released earlier this year. But their new flagship model has even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-off maintenance, making it a clear contender on our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush ensure that a thorough, customized clean is achieved.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and fine particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned the dirtiest areas well, avoiding tangled pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping performance of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that automatically moves out to get into areas that are difficult to reach and mop pads that extend along baseboards.
Its navigation is smart it can navigate through tiny spaces and negotiating stairs without stepping back. It is able to move from one room to the next without needing to reverse the direction. This is beneficial for homes that have multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than that of some competitors, and leaves a huge space around obstacles. This could lead to missed spots.
The app's interface is intuitive and well-organized. It should be easy to use for novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleanings. You can also alter suction power, mop settings and view 3-D and 2D maps. It can be operated via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri and allows you to keep an eye on its progress from any location. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely for real-time video supervision. But, you'll require a reliable Wi-Fi connection to operate it via the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
best rated robot vacuum vacuums are great in removing dirt and debris, but they aren't able to reach all dust. This is why it's important to use your regular vacuum at least once a week, especially to pick up dust in corners, on shelves and in the corners of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop designed specifically for this purpose. It's easy to connect to your Wi-Fi at home network and is compatible with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more convenient addition to your daily cleaning routine.
The Q5 is an edgier version of the company's pricier S-series models, including the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's less expensive because it doesn't have mopping capabilities and comes with an aluminum body.
Despite losing the ability to mop floors, the Q5 offers the most impressive mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robot in this price range. It has a suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system so you don't need to empty the bin manually every time. It also comes with a smart application that lets you choose your floor type and schedule cleanings, and an best automatic vacuum cleaner water tank refill and wash system for hands-free operation.
Its mops are also impressive with its 2700Pa capacity to combat pet hair and dirt on carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was among the few robots that we tested to not have issues with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it did not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't surprising as it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also uses a unique mapping system that helps it reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums are unable to. The device also stores dust in a bigger dustbin which means you have to empty it less often. Additionally, it has washable filters which further reduces the costs associated with using the device. This robot can detect carpets, and increase suction if needed. You can also mark areas you want the robot to avoid using the app.
