Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is a unique item upgrade that makes certain Pokemon develop. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's picture disc, and is often given as a reward at Pokemon GO events.
The Upgrade can also be found in weapons, armor trinkets, and gathering tools to boost their level of use. The upgrade cost Flightstones and crests, based on the type of item.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be slotted into weapons, armor trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to offer bonus effects or attribute bonuses while the equipment is being used. The item upgrading being upgraded must have an upgrade slot to accommodate the component, and most upgrade components require the item upgrades to be upgraded to be at a certain level. Certain upgrade items also come with special visual effects when they are applied to an item. Upgrade components are available through crafting, purchased by Karma merchants or traded with other players via the Trading Post. They can also be rescued from equipment and redeemed as rewards.
There are various upgrade components, each of which comes with various bonuses. Universal upgrades, which include gems and inscriptions can be used on any kind of equipment. They also offer less bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions can be found in non-amulet equipment that is ascended and legendary equipment, and enrichments are used for some ascended back items. Most upgrade components can be replaced if they are inserted into an item, but doing so destroys the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs, which can only be used in gathering tools, and enchantments. Both are able to be removed and replaced.
Insignias and enchantments will show their name in the item's hover display, while upgrades with suffix and prefix will add their name to the end of the name of the equipment (e.g. for example, a Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components that have been added to an item will be displayed in the tooltip for the item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, such as ligatures, ornaments, fractions, swashes registered trademark symbols, and ellipses. The Glyphs panel allows you to look up and insert these unique characters, as well as regular glyphs like em dashes, en dashes, registered trademark symbols and characters that are not found in other fonts (such as dingbats).
Each Glyph provides an initial boost in stats for the character. It also comes with up to four secondary stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage increase which is multiplied by other bonuses, excluding Speed Glyphs that directly increase the speed of the hero.
The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and clicking the "enchant" button. This will open a window that shows the Glyphs that are available to you. You are only able to apply the appropriate Glyph to the item you are looking for. Every weapon or jewelry piece has a different collection of Glyphs.
You can upgrade your Glyphs by working through Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more challenging the dungeon, the greater the amount of Glyph experience that you will earn. Once a Glyph has reached the level 15 it can be upgraded on the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board grows by one node each 15 levels that a Glyph is upgraded.
Once a Glyph has reached the desired level you can activate it. Select it, then click the "enchant button". The Glyph that is created will grant its stated bonus, and also boost other nodes within its area on the Paragon Board. It's crucial to place glyphs in the Best item upgrade locations to benefit your build, and that is why it's a good idea to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Some glyphs, however, might offer dual benefits when certain conditions are met which is why they're worth checking out for.
Click the cycle widget to change the view of the Glyphs Panel. Each of these views displays the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow the selection of glyphs further using an option below "Entire Font": for instance, punctuation shows only punctuation glyphs, while Math Symbols narrows the choice to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling involves creating a new account in order to increase your chances of getting the character or weapon you want. This can be done to level up faster, or to get more loot, such as an additional weapon for your character. A lot of players will play until the character they desire is available, regardless of ability. This could be because they like the character's design or their personality.
When you reroll, it is important to make sure that the changes you are making are clean. You should test locally to see if the patch passes pre-commit and run a Core dev check. Upload the patch with a plain difference to a problem (see What is an interdiff?) ).
Rerolls may be weeks or days long, depending on how lucky you are. During this period, you should avoid enemy camps that are optional to avoid wasting time. Also, avoid repeating quests which can be completed later on in the game. This can save time and energy.
When rerolling, it's essential to be aware the upgrade system. There are many ways to enhance your character's power and appearance. This could include upgrading your weapons as well as rerolling your characters and buying upgrades. In addition, it is important to know the limitations of the upgrade system.
Rerolling isn't a mandatory aspect of the game, but it can be helpful to increase your chances of getting a specific character or weapon. It is a great option in the case of trying to find the best character to play or if you're wanting to try different play styles and builds.
Sets
A set is a group of objects that share common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or the members of a class). Sets can be used for operations like intersection, union, and differences.
When you upgrade a set item, it is a different version of itself that is better than the previous one. This means that weapons and armor will have a higher defense value and less requirement for strength.
Upgrades are an excellent way to bring popular single-set items up to the same level as their higher-tier set counterparts. Upgrades such as Guillaume's Face Helm to Elite Spired helmet can increase the defense from 217 to 321 and lower the strength requirements and levels to an achievable range.
However, it's important to note that not all set items are suitable candidates for upgrading. Certain sets, like the FB Sorc Whistan's Shield, a spec's item or Naj's Puzzler staff are already Elite and Exceptional in their own right and don't require upgrading. Some items, such as Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are often used, could require an upgrade to improve their stats. It may be worth it to upgrade these items.
