Robots That Vacuum and Mop
robots that vacuum and mop that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills and stains) in one session without having to swap out devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean and complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and is a great autonomous vacuum cleaner too. Its mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair, and Automatic Hoover dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, as well as a selection of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you want for each room.
You could, for instance ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are superb as the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only issue it has is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed. However, just a glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station informs the maintenance tasks that are required including emptying the debris tray, and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can operate for 184 mins in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to see every aspect of the cleaning.

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop, is the newest version. This year's model has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This Roborock model, like the other two I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they're a wall or another surface. It then can alter its direction automatically and clean them without missing a step.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child-lock and a home-button that can send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin auto-refilling.
The only drawback I could find in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. You can change the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these via the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track the battery's life. However, you'll have to go through a few hurdles to enable voice control on this model, which is a shame considering the performance of this model.
