Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet messes in one session without the need to switch between devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its relatively affordable price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide can get you up and running in no time. You'll have a a full dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a variety of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.
For instance, you can choose to have the robot clean up the living and kitchen but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models are unable to. Its only issue is that the robot tends to hit walls and objects at a high speed. However an inspection of the cleaning history on the app will reveal exactly what the robot vacuum cleaners reviews has done, where it is traveling, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks need to be done, such as emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time, with the mop capable of operating for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. And you can see the full cleaning details in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easily understood however we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a best automatic vacuum cleaner and mop clean, when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop, is the most up-to-date version. This year's model has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that allows it to pick up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.
The Roborock model, like the other two I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It can then change its path automatically and clean them without stumbling.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock, and a home-button to send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin auto-refills.
The only downside I found to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app allows you to manage and set up these advanced features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot hoover vacuum and mop equipped with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its smart design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while saving time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the most effective alternatives available. This powerful vacuum removes the dry mess, which includes pet hair and food particles. It has a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without the use of a pad. The X40 is also very quiet while in use and only occasionally bursting during mode changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also has a side brush that is able to be extended and lifted. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture with curved edges such as table and chair legs. The robot vacuum cleaners best is also able to reach under low-profile furnishings which makes it an ideal choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that allows the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Contrary to other robots, which are restricted to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpet and mop only hard floors or reverse the process. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is intuitive and easy to use and the X40's clever features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, switch modes, view floor plans and maps, and control mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many convenient features that make it a great option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you before it gets overflowing, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. It has several characteristics that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.
There are many choices, including the possibility to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app lets you define these preferences, or utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options to customize the cleaning process, and there are numerous features that other robots do not include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, instead of relying on an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing, but it's still not too heavy. It feels solid and well-built. Mopping is well designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
