World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template that is ending in % will gain 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide an additional stat boost or effect when they're used. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue level before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item upgrader it's applied to (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using fewer Upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or by buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of an item will be revealed at the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear even if they are unsure how much it will be improved after the reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a high chance that the item could become obsolete or even break when it fails. A failed upgrade will ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate the chance of failure, and some upgrades that offer the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes within a radius around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in various ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

In the final game, you will often find that the best way to enhance your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and they provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced again, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with another Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs as well as also a few rare glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, so it is best to place Glyphs in key locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields some Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item it is replaced by a new item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will get an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item also has its own bonus. This could be a drawback since the item may become more expensive even if you do not require it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens in order to do this. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have a level 1 base and a completely different set of bonus bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it shouldn't be done regularly, as it can waste many resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and exits water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely valuable in PvP, as an item that is properly rolled it could be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to increase the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense of the base set and upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear that can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to return to its original condition and the player having to purchase more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item upgrades isn't upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it has gained like chances to be crit, attack damage, or other effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or reloading speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that, when a weapon gains an increase in crit chance the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is calculated each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item upgrader mod is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its base value. For example, a common item might have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will still need to take each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of the upgrade item ingredients in addition to the cost listed above.
