Path of Exile Item Upgrading
The Best item upgrade way to improve your gear in Path of Exile is through item upgrades. This lets you improve it without having to depend on costly drops or trades. This article will teach you how to upgrade your items.
Upgrades to equipment provide a bonus on the item's stats. This bonus scales with the upgrade component's level and rarity.
Components
Upgrade components are the items that make your weapons and armor more effective. You can find them through destroying enemies, buying them from karma vendors, or finding them in the form of Item Upgrade-spheres. They can also be rescued from equipment with them, or through an advanced salvage kit like the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components cannot be destroyed when they are removed from the item.
Upgrade components are typically used to improve an item but they can also be used for other reasons. They can be used to increase the level or the amount of experience gained by upgrading equipment or weapons. They can be made for additional bonuses. For example, a created glyph can increase the chances of upgrading its target, whereas an upgrade boost will boost the defense or attack attribute of a weapon or armor.
Selecting an upgrade template in the GUI will let you bind it to an item. It will display a list of upgrade components that the item can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench to selecting an upgrade template. In either instance the item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components are collected.
Each component has its own experience multiplier, which determines how much more experience an item will gain when it is upgraded with the component. Organic components, for example, have more experience multipliers than mechanical components. It is recommended to upgrade organic components first until you reach the next rank in the weapon or equipment, and then switch to the mechanical upgrades.
Each item comes with an upgrade limit number that it is possible to receive. The number of upgrades are determined by its upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade available to the upgradeable item. For instance, the highest possible weapon upgrade is a weapon of tier 10. However, the most popular upgrade for weapons is an tier 6 weapon as well as a tier 5 armor upgrade.
Sets
A set is a set of items that share the same bonus. Each item can be upgraded at minimum once. The upgrade item boosts the guaranteed bonuses. When you first upgrade an item or set piece will give it an increase of +1 to its primary stat. In subsequent upgrades, the primary stats will be boosted a bit more (for example, +1 to 12+/13+/14+) Each time you upgrade the item it will have one of its additional stats is increased randomly.
Upgrades can also increase the base damage of a weapon. This can be crucial for certain types of builds. Weapons cannot be upgraded for an increased maximum defence roll than their base. It is possible to increase value of certain sets and unique items by upgrading them, but they may not always be superior to a higher-level Runeword.
If you're upgrading an item that has bonuses the item can be rerolled a single time and the guarantee will reset back to 0. The same power dies are used to roll an item, just as it would be to level it up. However, the new item has different bonuses. The NPC [Armor] Boboko can upgrade your armor in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you will require a power dice of each type (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 7 drops from bosses) and the proper amount of Minerals and Erons. They can be purchased by using Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. NPCs also offer special rewards for each level of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled a second time and will be made using the same materials used in the original item.
Rerolling
If a player has enough rerolling tokens, they can roll any item they've accumulated during the game. When an item is rerolled it will be replaced by an equivalent level 1 version from another set. Reroll tokens are sold at the store for a small amount of in-game currency. They cannot be refunded. The new item upgraded will still come with the extra bonuses of the first however, its stats will be different also.
Players can change the identity of their equipment, in addition to rerolling it by interacting with an NPC upgrader. The equipment's identification will change as a weapon to armor, or reverse the process. The base requirements and stats remain the same. The change will be permanent and will affect all characters that own the gear.
Players can also increase the level of their item upgrader mod on any equipped equipment by obtaining upgrade items and conversing with the item's upgrader NPC. This will cost a set amount of crests as well as Valorstones according to the upgrade track and item type. For weapons, each upgrade will add five percent to the damage.
Upgrades can boost the power of an item, but they can also reduce its quality. It is therefore essential to find a balance between the two. Some items may not be worth upgrading at all and some will require to be upgraded in order to reach their potential. A player may want to upgrade breakpoint armor with an interesting modification ( percent block chance, or FHR) in order to discover what it could be.
Rerolling is a standard practice in Genshin Impact and other gacha-based games. People use it in order to get a character or weapon they would not otherwise be able to acquire. These items can be costly and time-consuming to acquire and the RNG isn't always a good fit. The only other options are to invest money or grind for a long time. For this reason, rerolling is a popular option in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can choose whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when you upgrade an item. However, this feature is absolutely nothing in the current game. I believe that this feature was intended to add some value to rare and expensive items. However, since most equipment is replaced quickly, and can only be upgraded one level, you will generally replace it before it gets too old. It's also not worth upgrading items using gem sockets since the power of the gemstone will outweigh any increase in the level of.
When you click on the upgrade option on an item, you will see a small window with the item's upgrade template and the cost of Valorstone and crest to increase the level of the item. Armor and weapons will have different costs, with the latter usually being more expensive. The upgrade template lists the stats to be added to an upgraded item upgrade, and also the current ilvl.
The Crest and Valorstone costs are calculated based on the current ilvl of the item and the upgrade template. The ilvl is also reduced by the upgrade templates reduction percentage for lvl. For instance an upgrade of 8% can reduce the ilvl of a weapon by 8 to 8%.
The item will receive upgrades to other stats like critical strike damage, PvE damages and block, parry and dodge rating in addition to the base level. These enhancements are also based on the upgrade template.
In the upgrade template, you can determine the amount of damage or defense that the item will receive when it is upgraded. This is shown below the cost and the upgrade percentages. In addition to practice equipment, all items and armor get these same stats when leveled up. The market will determine the value of these stats. A weapon or armor with perfect rolls can fetch a much higher price than an unupp'd version. The same applies to other pieces of armor like tiaras or circlets.
