The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced two gear upgrade currencies: Valorstones and Harbinger Crests. These can be exchanged at the item upgrader mod upgrader NPCs, Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item can be upgraded to its highest level for a particular slot once. Upgrades to that slot will be cheaper afterward. The pity system, introduced in The War Within, also reduces the extreme variance of upgrades.
Upgrades
In gaming, upgrades are replacements for components that increase performance or offer new capabilities. Upgrades can be purchased or earned through a variety of methods including through events in the game or cash shop items.
As opposed to enchantments that can be applied to any item, upgrades are tied to specific items and can only be used on those items. Therefore, an upgrade cannot be applied to a weapon when it is already equipped by a player. Some items can be upgraded more than once and provide a greater benefit to the user.
Upgrades are a relatively new mechanic that was introduced in patch 4.1.0. The upgrade system allows the player to make additional improvements to their equipment to increase its strength. This could range from merely power increases to major damage and defense increases. The upgrades are separated into tracks and each track has an upper limit on the amount of upgrades that can be completed. These limits are meant to stop players from going through low-keystone dungeons while upgrading their equipment all the way up.
The gear that can be upgraded includes armor, weapons and consumables. The majority of gear is upgraded as it is dropped however, a few items (such as Ornn's gear or the baby Dracolich pet) aren't upgradeable. The gear can be upgraded to higher levels by buying a recipe from an upgrade items vendor, then joining it with an item in the appropriate upgrade slot. One can check the amount of upgrades a piece of equipment can be upgraded by looking at its inventory icon or by searching for the item in the shop.
There are two main drawbacks to the upgrade system. The one is that it may be difficult to determine what items are upgradeable because the upgrade vendors do not always display all of them. The upgrade items textures are rendered over the model of the item which hides enchantment information and other information.
The other drawback is that upgrades are costly. Every step in a gear's level of upgrade will cost a certain amount of Valorstones, or crests, based on the slot and item level. Weapons generally require more crests and Valorstones to upgrade than bracers or gloves, for example. Cash shop items can reduce the cost.
Recycle
In the wake of an increasing awareness of how single-use products and inefficient habits contribute to environmental degradation, many are changing their shopping practices. Many are opting for high-end items that last longer or using their old gadgets to make a way around. Some are focusing on recycled items and seeking out the highest recycled content in their purchases. This will hopefully reduce the amount of energy required to extract and produce new materials, as well as create a more sustainable world.
It is now easier than ever before to locate recycling. Many items, like paper and furniture are made from recycled materials to them. This means they're made from recycled or discarded materials and it's simple to purchase recycled items online or at the store. In addition to helping the environment and reducing waste, these products are usually more affordable than their counterparts.
As an item progresses in it also receives bonuses, in addition to its main stat gain. These bonuses vary depending on the item's level and may be of various types. The higher the tier, the greater bonuses you can expect.
More companies are committed to making products that are more sustainable as the global economy shifts away form resource extraction and towards reusing and recyclating. Many of these are also focused on recycling materials and are offering incentives to customers to recycle their goods. In the future we're likely to see more recycled items on the shelves and in stores as the demand for sustainable goods increases.
Rerolls
In Genshin Impact - or any gacha game, for that matter Rerolling is a crucial tool. Rerolling allows players to try again for a weapon or character they wish to play for whatever reason, whether it's attractive or they think it would be a good match for their team.
Rerolls function by allowing players to reroll the items available in the current game in exchange for a small amount of materials. Prices for these weapons rise when the number of rerolls increases but some items may not be available (for instance, characters that exclusively use ranged weapons will not be able to access an item that is melee).
When an item is levelled up it moves into the Staple Pool and gains extra bonuses. They are based on the nature of the item it is. For instance, an upgrade that boosts the main stat of a weapon will also increase its additional stat. The extras will also change if the item is changed.
If a player has enough stamina to complete the reroll, they can press a button with circular arrows to swap their current item to a different one. The new item upgrader kit will be of the same level but an additional set of bonuses, depending on whether the old one was a sword, gun or a watch.
Rerolling does not change the levels of an item's bonuses. However, a player might still require the minimum requirements for its special ability. It isn't easy to obtain an item upgrade of high-level with the bonuses you desire however, this gives them the opportunity to try another option in future without spending any more resources.
Upgrading an item won't just increase the value of its bonuses, it can also give the item a boost in its tier which means that it will be guaranteed to gain a certain amount of bonus stats when upgraded in the future. This is a big reason why it's crucial to upgrade your gear as much as you can, since once you hit the tier where any further upgrades will not make a huge difference it's pointless.
Sets
A set is a group of objects that share a common property. They are commonly used in the area of mathematics and can be represented with an equivalence notation such as . Sets have many important properties, such as the associative property, and the commutative property. These properties are essential for understanding how sets work and can be used in real-world applications.
Sets of items can be upgraded for extra bonuses in the game. A set of armor pieces can improve the defense of the armour, while a weapon can add additional damage base. These additional stats are applied following the base stats of the item, but before the percentages and flats. These additional stats could be a good way to enhance the value of an item.
When an item is upgraded it will replace the previous base stat with the new stat. For example an item with 20 base damage is now sporting 40 base damage. It will also preserve the previous armor value and upgrade requirements. This is an excellent way to acquire an elite item for a low cost.
The process of upgrading unusual items can be profitable, especially if the item upgrader mod has an interesting mod. A rare belt with +5 IAS for instance can have a huge impact on a build's power, especially in early hell. It's an excellent way to increase the value of an item by incorporating a perfect or high roll.
Item Upgraders work differently for set, unique and rare items. When an item reaches level 10, it will typically be upgraded back to its base type. A unique upgrade of an armor item with maximum defense will result in a similar base type for an elite armor item. This isn't a guarantee result, and there are instances where an upgrade will not alter the base item type.
It is recommended that players prioritize upgrading their BiS (Best in Slot) items first, and then other non-BiS items. This will ensure that the player has an established base to build upon when leveling up, and they can concentrate on increasing their tiers and gaining extra stats.
