Recycled items
Many of the items we use in everyday life are recyclable, including glass, paper, aluminum and plastics. Certain of these materials can be reused into new products such as clothing and shoes while others are reused for building materials like concrete and steel. This reduces the amount of waste that we produce and also saves energy costs.
Before you put items in your recycling bin, it is crucial to know which items can be reused and which can't. This will prevent you from contaminating recyclables, and making it more difficult for recyclers to separate them. Using this information will allow you to recycle more, and it will also allow you to make better decisions when buying new items.
Paper, cardboard, and paperboard are highly recyclable, as well as glass bottles and Jars (as as they're clean) and aluminum cans. Metals such as tin, aluminum, steel and many more metals can be recycled. Plastics like ice cream bottles and soda cans are all recyclable, as well as plastic bags. There is also the possibility of recycling some textiles, such as clothing and shoes, however they are not as common as the other items on this list.
Tin foil, window panes, and wire hangers are a few things that you should not place in your recycling bin. These are typically not accepted by curbside recycling programs, so they must be taken to the household hazardous waste collection facility or event. You should not recycle pesticides, paint or construction materials, nor fertilizer in their original containers. They can be hazardous to the environment as well as to the health of humans.
