World of Warcraft - item upgrades Upgrading
The Item Upgrader Kit upgrade lets players boost an item upgrades's gear rating up 700 points, and then add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.
Certain items can be upp'd to increase their stats (like a perfectly made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while others like weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Some weapons also come with an unaffected bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a unit. In certain instances, this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon can sustain by itself.
A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For example, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs more Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. While this is usually an excellent thing but it can also have negative effects as well. Upgrades can render items unusable, unless you are exceptionally lucky.
Items of armor can also be upgraded to increase their performance. This will increase the defense base of a helm or chest as well as belts and gloves. These can boost their strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it may roll down to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats it will get when upgraded and their respective values. This means that a change from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in a weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will be hit for 3 fewer times, since it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button in the item upgrades menu using the arrows that circle. This will roll an item and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's levels, or bind it to account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make the world of difference to your survivability. Certain sets can offer massive increases in resistance to curses, poisons fire, magic, and other. This can make it easier to navigate difficult areas. In general, the more defense you have for your character, the more health you can gain from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four in total each of which requires you to complete a specific side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main side quest and have completed the corresponding fountain you'll be able to speak to any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.
The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. You'll need anywhere from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade the next one. For instance, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep up with a large group of adversaries in most cold conditions and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, granting you enough protection to withstand a full on raid with a handful of friends.
You can't upgrade your armor like weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor for physical strength or the power of spells. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you wear to fight the final boss as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.
You can also unlock some advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to win the game. For example, the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades for the helmets and chest armor so that you can get around a few monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by the player, give an immediate effect. There are five types of potions that have different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to improve their level of effectiveness. In addition, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to them.
Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table or in the chest of the Alchemist. However, the cost of upgrading changes depending on what kind of potion you wish to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level as well as its rarity.
To upgrade a potions you need to right-click it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This opens a GUI in which you can select the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll produce when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
Once a potion is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade unless you take it out again or break the bottle within which it is kept. You can also rename the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the mechanics of potions. For example the splash potions now have an average duration of 0:08 (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the item upgrader mod). The potion table can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be combined in cauldrons. This is the same for using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will draw out the potion, and refill the bottle.
There are also lingering potions that are brewed using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to enhance their effect. The table of potion ingredients is now organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including the potion of leaping and the potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket is a tiny and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to a small ornament or object that serves a function but isn't essential such as a Thimble. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, particularly between family members.
Players can upgrade trinkets in addition to weapons and armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade item vendor. Trinkets like other items that can be upgraded, can be swapped at will without losing statistics.
The upgrade vendors can be found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, and in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of a rare trinket.
Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to buying a brand new trinket. You can upgrade a trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same base level as the old trinket but it also comes with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.
Once the old Trinkets are not usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players which makes them a good alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment that will not replace anytime soon (such as a ring or an cloak). When choosing the items to upgrade, players should also consider the preferred statistics of their class. For example, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should be focusing on upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and helm.
After they've become unusable trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket comes with an additional 1% bonus. A re-upgrade, however, will destroy the trinket unless it can be salvaged using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, but is still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
