Path of Exile Item Upgrading
item upgrader kit upgrading (this website) allows players to enhance their weapons and gear by adding new affixes that boost the base stats of the item or adding additional perks. To upgrade an item, the player has to have it in their inventory as well as access to the kiln.
Items with weak bases, like rings can be upgraded to a stronger base. Items with bases that are strong, such as Titans from eth, have no changes in their stats.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be used to upgrade trinkets, weapons, armor and tools for gathering, offering an attribute bonus or extra effect when the equipment is used. They can be bought from vendors, or found as loot gathered by enemies or gotten from chests or missions. Some upgrades can have additional cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a specific level to upgrade.
To upgrade an armor, weapon or other item in the game, players will need to select it and then click the Upgrade button in the toolbar. This will display a preview on the right side of the screen showing what the expected upgrade statistics will be as well as the necessary element or material required to make that happen.
There are three types: universal upgrades (which include gems), prefix upgrades, and suffix upgrade components. Universal upgrades, which include gems, can be placed in any kind of equipment and offer less bonuses than upgrade components that are restricted to a specific type. Infusions are only placed in gear that is ascended and legendary equipment are exactly the same as jewels but have higher bonuses and are not able to be placed in any other equipment. Suffix upgrades can be added to gathering tools. They will add the suffix at the end of item names. For instance, adding a Glyph will transform a Staff wrapping of Minor Vigor into a Canthan staff wrapping of Minor Vigor.
If the player upgrades their gathering tool and replaces the glyphs with a different one the old one will be returned to their inventory. However, replacing any other upgrade component can destroy it, with the exception of inscribed glyphs that can be swapped.
Leveling
Path of Exile's upgrade system differs from previous versions in some important ways. Gear is now broken down into tracks and items can only be upgraded a certain number of times before they are "leveled out." The cost for upgrades increases with each level up, but the required materials do not increase as much. This allows players to focus their efforts on a specific few items and maximize the impact of these items rather than spreading upgrade costs over multiple pieces.
If an item is finished being leveled and is leveled out, it will be able to receive a new set of upgrade components, as well as an increase in the probability that the upgrade will succeed. This bonus is known as the Artisan's Energy. It will reset to 0 if the upgrade fails or increases if the upgrade succeeds.
After a piece has been upgraded to its maximum level, it is able to get affixes to boost its attributes. The number of affixes that are available is contingent on the item's base type. For example the rare or exclusive weapon with a normal base will have only two affixes available for it, while legendary armors can have up to eight affixes for it.
Each upgrade process requires a certain number of Flightstones or Crests, based on whether the item is at its current level and in what slot it is in. Weapons will typically require more Flightstones than other equipment.
If an item doesn't reach its maximum level, the NPC offers players the option to transfer it to a new character and then re-infuse it with a different set of upgrades. This process can take between one and two hours and cost the same amount of materials. However, it has a lower chance of success.
Engineers may use a level in order to measure the height of the building to an established point, like an existing benchmark. This process is called a "level loop." This involves taking readings using the level, backsighting rod and then turning the level to take the foresighting rod reading. This method ensures that buildings are constructed to a high standard of safety and accuracy.
Rerolling
Rerolling is the process of altering the upgrade components of an item. It is a crucial aspect of the game and can significantly increase the strength of an item, damage, or other attributes. This can be done via the item menu or by using the Reroll button on an upgraded item. Rerolling items can be expensive and should be handled with care.
The game lets players recycle upgraded items, and use them to acquire reroll tokens. These tokens can be used to upgrade the original item upgrader kit or a similar item. Recyclable items come with an indicator of the level which shows how much of the upgrade gauge has been filled. The rarity and the cost of upgrading an item will determine the amount of level that has been filled.
Prior to this, some upgrade items were given priority affixes, which made them easier for players to roll. This meant that you would be able to get the stats that were important most to your build more often than other items. These included things like the armor's total armor, thorns, and duration reduction stats that are controlled or the weapon's bonus attack speed and critical strike chance.
This has changed since the last patch. Priority affixes are no longer required and all upgrades will have the same odds of rolling for all stats. This could be good or bad, depending on what you're looking for and want from your equipment.
Each upgraded item upgrader mod can also come with a bonus that boosts the power of the item by a set percentage or flat value. These bonuses are rolled into the usual affixes. The more you improve a product, the better your chances of receiving a unique bonus.
The game also comes with various sets which grant a set bonus when three or more upgraded items from the same set are equipped on a unit. This is a great way to add a lot of power to a specific character without spending lots of money.
Many players reroll their weapons and gear particularly in the initial stages. Rerolling can give players a faster route to a more powerful character and allows them to climb high tiers and progress the game more quickly.
Sets
Sets are collections that can be organized differently. They could be of various sizes, have no elements, or contain one element. They can be used for organizing data or sorting information. They can also be useful in studying patterns. Sets can be classified in various ways in terms of size and shape.
There are a variety of set items to upgrade in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Certain items are worth upgrading, others are not. Upgrades are worth it for armor sets that offer high defense values and set bonuses. However, upgrades to weapons typically don't improve the quality of the item's stats when compared to their counterparts in purple. This makes them less attractive to upgrade if you have lots of armor pieces or weapons.
Set items can be upgraded to include specific tools that are suitable for specific builds. This is evident in Aldur's Advance Boots and Guillaume's Face. Both were upgraded to Exceptional Winged Helms and Exceptional Mirrored Boots, respectively. This increased their defense from 217 to 321. (Strength requirements and Level requirements were also increased).
Another reason for upgrading certain items is to bring them into the same level as their counterparts in their tiers. For instance, the Immortal King set has a vast range of levels, ranging between 29 and 76. The upgrade of lower-level items in the set can boost their defense and make them more competitive in terms of damage.
Clicking the Upgrade button will show the attributes of the item and the items required to upgrade it. The item will be displayed with its attributes, along with the items needed to upgrade it. For instance the No-mouth Face will require 1.1K Scrap Materials and 250 Enchanted Dust, and 5 Glowing Shards to upgrade. Players can also verify the upgrade requirements for specific items at the Cyrodiil Golden vendor or Leaderboard.
In general, weapons and jewelry offer better trade value when fully upgraded than armor. Upgrades to gold are recommended for weapons that have spells or glyphs that damage weapons. This will result in a significant improvement in their performance. Armor that has an upgraded appearance will also benefit from this as its defense value will increase when it goes from purple to gold.
