WoW Upgrades - The item upgrader kit Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random extra substat is also increased with each upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for those with higher variance because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be visited at any time to upgrade your equipment. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current item level of the equipment being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for various currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will display the Item Level Upgrade's next upgrade level, if there are enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the item and current item level upgrade level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Upgraders for items can be found in a variety of locations on the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases according to the number of items that are being upgraded. It is also possible to be increased by having players complete specific achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are available only via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit and an issue.

In Season 3, a number of new features were added to the upgrade system. After an upgrade has been completed to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This is even if those items come from a different set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade is reduced and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is reduced too, but it is only available when certain milestones are achieved.

Crests

Players have a variety of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific Best item upgrader level upgrades. Crests are an integral part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that Crests are only available to equipment that is with a certain rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, based on the type or gear being upgraded.

Players can obtain crests by completing content of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons to obtain endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an item upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item upgrades in the proper steps and pathways.

Using these new currencies isn't that difficult, but the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. Once a piece of gear reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all of their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another notable modification is that crests have one use therefore it's essential to use them wisely. For instance, it's Best item upgrader to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the top gear you have available and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to create. This is particularly true for items such as trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The account-wide discount will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
