1. Roomba Q5 pro
The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive sibling, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we have examined. They have top-of-the-line motors that can pull up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. As with other premium iRobot models (including the top pick) they employ smart mapping technology to design detailed floor plans that avoid household obstacles such as cords and furniture legs. They also feature carpet boost that increases the robot's power when it spots an abundance of dirt on the carpet in order to get it clean quickly.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests on floors that were bare and are especially adept in removing hair from dogs. However, they do have a few flaws however, which prevent them from being our first choice. For one, the Q5's navigation doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance and is therefore prone to become entangled in shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate tightly packed rooms very well in our tests. It doesn't also come with a camera to look around corners.
It's still a good value, especially if your office or home has a lot of bare flooring and you're looking to save some money. Additionally, it's quiet and can work when you're at work or going to school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming feature that's offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping, using disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on well and aren't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. If you want to, you can swap the mopping pad for dry ones in a matter of seconds.
2. iRobot Roomba
The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact elegant vacuum cleaner that also has the ability to mop floors. Its agile navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it quick to clean and efficient at dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also has strong suction and self-emptying bin. It's the best automatic vacuum and mop robot hoover for carpets, although it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.

It also learns the patterns of your home over time to provide cleaner and more efficient cleaning. The app lets you modify zones and alter the cleaning schedule. Its battery life is average compared to other models.
You can instruct the X30 Ultra to remove its mop and extend them when it's in a room with carpet to prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm can also be utilized to reach under low-lying furnishings and along baseboards. However, it's not equipped with the same level of washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ as well as the iRobot Combo j9+.
During testing during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to complete the entire house with 66 percent of its battery left. It did a decent cleaning job on various flooring and rooms with different flooring types including some area rugs. Its obstacle detection was great, and it avoided fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles of cables.
It's a little more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but offers superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after vacuuming this feature, which hasn't been seen in other robot vacuum/mop combos.

This is due to a mix of high-tech sensors, including a structured light system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot vacuum cleaner uk in our tests that can fully self-refill and empty its base station, and it boasts its own self-cleaning mop pads.
The X40 as with other iRobot products, is easy to use. It has an easy mobile application interface and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only real drawback is that it's still quite loud that could be a problem if you run it in the morning prior to work or in the evening as you attempt to sleep.

iRobot L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a lot of advanced features that let you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine that is similar to Ecovacs' top-of-the-range X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It has a multifunction dock which automatically emptys the bin of the vacuum and refills the water tank, and cleans and dries the mop pads.
The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to draw out floor plans and detect obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its premium competitors. It also has a front-mounted camera for real-time hazard detection however, it wasn't 100% foolproof during our tests and was sometimes confused by power cords or other obstructions.
Its vacuum has a high suction capacity of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to finish the job. It also comes with an attribute known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the house based on how dirty these areas tend to be.
For larger homes it's worth looking for one that has zone or spot cleaning modes that let you tell the robot to clean a particular area of your home via the app or voice commands. If you have furniture, a stairway mode is also a good option. For families that are busy, a recharge feature and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to pick up where it left off could be extremely useful.
5. iRobot Roomba RX3
The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you might think from its price. It is a great job vacuuming, picking up 55% of the debris that was found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with one pad that has an oscillating motion that is cleaner than the other robot mop cleaners we've examined. It's also highly self-sufficient, with a fully-featured application, and a self-emptying, washable base.
The iRobot app is designed to help you navigate a mapping run that collects data on your floorplan and any "no go" areas you've marked on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules or to organize a spot-clean. You can also use it to rank your most filthy areas to improve performance. The app also provides access to a variety of features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.
Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuums, meaning it is able to reach corners and underneath furniture more easily. It is equipped with an impressive 8,000 Pascal suction and intelligent combs to remove pet hair. You can also set up a spot cleaning that intensely cleans a localized area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek, cheaper alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive style, much like Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are designed like adorable eyes. It is great at vacuuming, but it is more likely to get caught in low thresholds. It is also louder than other top robot vacuums that we've test. It also has a less user-friendly app and a tiny base station that isn't able to double as an emptying bin.
