EV Star

GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete range of heavy and medium-duty electric vehicles, including high-floor and lower-floor models. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which can be used to accommodate many different body designs and upgrades for a variety of applications. The platform's clean sheet design approach allows for optimal battery pack placement and lower center of gravity, which results in better payload to range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The refrigerated trucks in class 4 with a single wall structure inside and a higher insulation level than conventional trucks, allow for seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer service life. The EV Star REEFERX delivers superior cargo capacity and an industry leading payload-to-range ratio for zero-emission passenger and cargo transportation.

GreenPower has joined forces with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system, which will allow fleets to quickly move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able of wireless charging of 75 kW.

We had the chance to test drive the EV9 for a few hours on a local freeway and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The EV9 can block the sound of traffic and wind driving along the highway. It rides smoothly over bumps and ruts. The vehicle's acceleration is surprising fast, and it comes with adjustable regenerative brakes that permit "one-pedal driving" simply by lifting off the accelerator.

The EV9 has a great range and can be fully charged in about three hours at home, or using any commercial charger. Drivers have the option of choosing between two operating modes including eco mode and sports mode. The eco mode is a preference for torque and Electric Scooter green power electric mobility scooter (Yogicentral.Science) cruise control while the sport mode increases speed and handling. Both are fun to drive and provide a unique driving experience for anyone who has never been in an electric power scooters vehicle before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other e-vehicles available, such as a multi-purpose, all-electric mini bus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used for executive shuttles, microtransit or transit vanpools, buses, and paratransit vehicles.

GreenPower is already producing about 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of older diesel vehicles with 100 all-electric vehicles. GreenPower will increase production to meet the demands of the Biden Administration which wants to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star buses are green power mobility scooters any good the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA conforming. This means they will be eligible for federal transit assistance grants. We will be following the AV Star as it begins its demonstration tour the coming months. We will be sharing more details about this revolutionary electric vehicle.
