Path of Exile Item Upgrading

In Path of Exile, item upgrading is one of the most effective ways to upgrade your gear without relying on big-ticket drops or trade. This article will help you understand how to upgrade your gear.

Upgrades in equipment can add a bonus to the item's base stats. This bonus scales with the upgrade component level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components can make your weapons and armour better. You can acquire them by destroying enemies, finding them in item spheres or buying them from karma merchants. They can also be salvaged from equipment with them or by using a high-tier salvage kit like the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Unlike most other items upgrades aren't destroyed when they are removed from an item.

The primary function of upgrade components is to enable an item to be upgraded, but they also serve other functions. They can be used to boost the value of an upgradeable item or they can be used to enhance the experience gained by upgrading an existing weapon or piece of gear. They can also be made to give additional bonuses. A crafted glyph can increase the chance of upgrading its target while boost upgrades increase the attack or defense capabilities of a weapon.

By selecting an upgrade template from the GUI will let you bind it to an item. This will show the upgrade components that the item can be updated. Alternatively, you can use the workbench to select an upgrade template. In either scenario the item will be upgraded after enough upgrade components are collected.

Each component has a unique experience multiplier. This determines how much experience an item can gain when upgraded using that component. Organic components, like, have an increased multiplier of experience than mechanical components. You should upgrade organic components first until you reach the next level in the weapon or equipment then switch to mechanical upgrades.

Each item comes with an upgrade limit number that can be received. The number of upgrades are determined by the upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade for the upgradeable item. For instance, the highest possible upgrade for a weapon is a weapon of tier 10. The most popular weapon upgrade is a gun with tier 6 and a armor upgrade of tier 5.

Sets

A set is a collection of items that share the same bonus. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least once, and the upgrade will increase the amount of bonuses that are guaranteed. When you first upgrade an item or set piece will give it a +1 increase to its primary stat. On subsequent upgrades the stats of the primary one will be increased a bit further (for instance, +1 to 12+/13+/14+) Each time you upgrade the item with an additional stats is boosted randomly.

Upgrades can also boost a weapon's damage base. This can be crucial for certain builds. However, weapons can't be upgraded to have a greater defense base than their base. It is possible to increase value of certain set and unique items by upgrading them, however they might not always be superior to a higher-level Runeword.

If the item you're upgrading has a guarantee bonus, it can be rerolled a few times and its guarantee will reset to 0. The same power dies are used to reroll an item Upgrader mod, just as it would be to level it up. However the new item comes with different bonuses. The NPC [Armor] Boboko can upgrade your armor in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you will need the appropriate amount Minerals and Erons and a power dice of each type. These can be purchased with Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also give a special reward for each completed tier of the upgrade process. The reward can be rerolled one time with the same materials as the original item.

Rerolling

If a player has enough to reroll tokens, they are able to reroll any item upgrade that they've acquired during the game. When an upgraded item gets rerolled, it will be exchanged for a version at a level 1 of the same item upgrade from a different set. Reroll tokens can be purchased in the store for a small sum of in-game currency. They cannot be refunded. The new item upgrader kit upgraded will still have the extra benefits of the previous one, but its stats will be different as well.

In addition to rerolling items players can also change the identification of any item by interfacing with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification from an armored weapon to a weapon, or vice versa, all the while retaining its base stats and the attributes it requires. The change is permanent and will affect all characters that are wearing the gear.

The player can also upgrade their level of an item for any equipment that is equipped. This is accomplished by engaging with an upgrader NPC and getting upgrade items. The cost will vary depending on the upgrade track, item type, and the number of crests. For weapons, each step up will add an additional five percent to the damage.

Upgrades can increase the power of an item, but they also can decrease the quality of an item. Therefore, it is important to find a balance between these two. Some items are not worth upgrading, while other items require upgrades to reach their full potential. A player might want to upgrade their breakpoint armor using an interesting modifier ( percent block chance or FHR) to see what else it can become.

The primary reason why people reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is that they're trying to get a specific weapon or character that they aren't able to obtain. Getting these items can be expensive and time-consuming, and the RNG gods do not always want to play. The only options is to shell out real money or grind lots. Rerolling is very popular in Genshin Impact.

Leveling

You can select whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when upgrading an item upgrader kit. This feature is not available in the current version of the game. I think it was meant to to increase the value of rare items, but since the majority of gear drops quickly and is only upgraded one level up it is likely that you will replace the item before it gets too old. It's also not worthwhile to level items that have gem sockets as the power of the gem will be greater than the higher ilvl that comes with the upgrade.

You will be presented with a small box when you click on the upgrade option for an item. It will show the item's template, the crest, and the cost of Valorstone to increase the item's level. Armor and weapons have different costs, with the latter generally being more expensive. The upgrade template lists the stats that will be added to an upgraded item, and also the current ilvl.

The cost of the Valorstone and crest is calculated using the item's current Ilvl and the upgrade templates. The ilvl is also decreased by the upgrade templates reduction percentage for lvl. For example, an upgrade of 8% can reduce the weapon's ilvl by 8 to 8percent.

The item will be upgraded to other stats, such as critical strike damage, PvE damage, and block, parry and dodge rating in addition to the base ilvl. The increases are also based on the upgrade template.

In the upgrade template you can check the amount of damage or defense an item will receive when it is upgraded. This is shown below the cost and upgrade percentages. Apart from the practice equipment, all weapons and armor gain the same stats when they are leveled up. The market will determine the worth of these stats. A weapon or armor that has perfect rolls can command an incredibly higher price than an unupp'd version. The same applies to other armor pieces, such as circlets and Tiaras.
