WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boosts in certain statistics. Each upgrade item boosts the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.
The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll to get a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader kit upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.
The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your equipment. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader every several weeks.
The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from a different player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons and tools, armor and other items. They can be purchased by players through item upgrader (visit our website) NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will display the item's next upgrade level, when there are enough materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current item level. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.
Item upgraders can be found at many locations on the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the chance to obtain the latest recipe. The upgrade discount increases with the number of items being upgraded. It is also possible to be increased by having players complete specific achievements or quests.
In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no item upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that can be used to upgrade are acquired via various methods which is both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.
In Season 3, several new features have been added to the upgrade system. When a player has an upgrade to a specific level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading further items to that same Best item upgrade level will cost less, even if they belong to an entirely different set of gear.
The discount applies to all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
Players have several options for upgrading their gear in WoW. They can choose to use Flightstones that are a common upgrade currency available to everyone, or crests, which are more specialized and used to upgrade specific item upgrading levels. Crests are an integral part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests are only available for equipment that is that is of a particular rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the more complex one may require as many as 20 crests, based on the type of gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through working through content at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities, or by doing dungeons or raids in any difficulty to earn equipment of lower tier or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with heroic difficulty for endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an item upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.
Utilizing these new currencies isn't that difficult however, the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it no longer requires Flightstones. This is to allow players to get their equipment to the highest level possible on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also essential to use crests with care, since they are only used for one purpose. It's Best item upgrade to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment that you can find and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to take advantage of the discount for all accounts when all slots are filled with top-quality equipment.
