Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mop are getting more efficient. They pass our tests on cleaning and are able to handle different flooring. Select models that allow users to select between different types, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
Many of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Look for an app that allows you to save schedules, maps and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos on the market. It uses lidar for navigation and creates maps of floors and rooms.
When I tested the S1, it was able to identify our downstairs, which is home to linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without crashing into them, and was able to drive across raised room thresholds with no problem, but it sometimes was unable to navigate down the stairs in one move. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it was near carpets or carpets.
The docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and replenishes its water tank on board with clean, ozonated water prior to every mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 cleaning sessions, but it will differ dependent on how often you use the mop.
The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. In order to do this, you'll have to wash the water tank that is dirty regularly to avoid it from clogging. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors frequently to avoid them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-1 robot vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a great choice for your cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum comes with 8700Pa of suction power and comes with a variety of innovative features including voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. The mopping capabilities of the robot vacuums best are impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor as opposed to just moving the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station when required.
This robot combo is easy to set up and use, and has a clear interface that walks you through the procedure. It includes a hand vacuum that recharges for those areas that the robot can't reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically empty and refilled whenever required. It comes with a variety of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty robust, however it does sometimes get hung up on the tiny carpets or area mats that I have in my home (which is something you can reduce by creating a virtual border in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite good as well, with a pair of spinning mops that actually lift and scrub floors, instead of simply dragging the pad over it. The mops are also cleaned with heated water, and dried in the base station whenever needed. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station as required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum that mops vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their new flagship model has even more impressive features. It is a great cleaner, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our list of the best automatic vacuum and mop mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush ensure an efficient, customized clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and fine particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned the most soiled areas efficiently, while eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other messes. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that automatically extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that is placed along baseboards.
Its navigation system is intelligent that can navigate tight spaces and climbing stairs without missing a beat. It can go from one room to the next without needing to reverse the direction. This is beneficial for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than the ones of other competitors and leaves a wide space around obstacles. This can lead to missed spots.
The app's interface is intuitive and streamlined. It should be easy to use by both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleanings. You can also adjust the suction power, mop settings as well as view 3-D and 2D maps. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri which allows you to monitor its progress from anywhere. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get real-time video supervision. You'll require a reliable Wi-Fi connection to operate it via the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of picking up dirt and debris but it's not always able to be able to reach every particle of dust. It is important to clean frequently, every week. This is especially true for dust that builds up in corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mop, is made to do just that. It's easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, which includes the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's cheaper since it doesn't come with mopping capabilities and comes with plastic body.
The Q5 is still one of the most powerful mopping and vacuums we've ever seen at this price even though it's not able to clean your floors. It features a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, so you don't have to manually empty the bin every time. It also features a smart application that lets you choose the type of floor and schedule cleanings. It also has an automatic water tank refill and wash system for hands-free operation.
Its mops also impress with their 2700Pa capacity to tackle dirt and pet hair on carpets as well as hard floors. The Q5 was one of the few robots that we tested did not show a problem with high-pile area rugs and carpets. However, it did not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise as it doesn't contain AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robot vacuums we've tested. It also utilizes a unique system to map your home. This will allow it to enter corners and tight spaces that other vacuums are unable to reach. It also collects dust in a larger bin which means you have to empty it less often. Additionally, it has washable filters that further lower the cost of using the device. This robot can detect carpets and increase suction if needed. You can also mark areas you want to be able to keep from using the app.
