Contrary to other robovacs we evaluated, the i3+ EVO comes with a self-emptying bin that dumps debris into an external dirt compartment on the base of its charging when it's full. The i3+ EVO can be kept from overfilling thanks to a self-emptying container. However it must be manually empty at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's internal dustbin holds 2.4L of debris, which is enough to get it through five or four cleaning sessions before you have to replace it.
This model, like the i7, utilizes state-of-the-art floor-tracking sensors to create maps. It also lets you navigate in neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only keep one map, whereas the i7 is able to store multiple. The map of the i7 can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, however, not the i3+ EVO.
The i3+ EVO is more effective of removing debris from the surface when compared to other robovacs that we have reviewed, but it is not the most effective in cleaning edges and corners. It's also more abrasive on furniture despite being relatively quiet. It pulled chairs away from walls and caused some collisions with the sides of our bed, and it was stuck to cords and toys during our testing.

You can schedule cleaning times, set no-go zones, and view the battery's status, among other things. The app is simple to use, however it does not support Apple HomeKit. The feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. Apple updated its website's footnote in the beginning of November to reflect the fact that this feature has been delayed until 2025. HomeKit is not compatible with other robots, but Siri Shortcuts are.
