World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

The item upgrade feature allows players to boost the item level for equippable weapons or armor. This boosts the stats of the item and can also add buffs or rerolls an affix.

It is important to keep in mind that although you can upgrade magic and other common equipment, it is generally not worth the effort. Rare and Unique equipment will quickly surpass upgraded magic and common gear.

Cost

When a player upgrades an item, they must spend Gold to do so. The cost of upgrading an item depends on its current level as well as the type of upgrade items selected. For instance, upgrading a weapon will typically be cheaper than upgrading armor because weapons require lower levels of skill. The amount of Gold required for upgrading an item increases as the item is upgraded.

Upgraded items will also have improved stats that can improve its performance in different ways. This may include boosting its attack power or critical strike chance. In addition, an upgraded item may be able to give additional buffs to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades can be used to increase the overall strength of a group or unit, and can have a significant impact on the gameplay.

Items can be upgraded at any NPC who is an upgrader in the game. Typically these NPCs are found in major cities or questing areas. You can also find upgrades for items by visiting dungeons that have high-level bosses, and speaking to NPCs in the garrisons of your faction.

The system of upgrading items in World of Warcraft provides players with the ability to upgrade the levels of armor, weapons and trinkets. The process is similar to that of gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor however instead of using the currency appropriate to the task players must visit an NPC to upgrade their items to complete the process.

Item upgrades can be costly, particularly when it comes to weapons and armor. Based on the upgrade track you select, each item level increase will cost Crests or Valorstones. The total costs can be very prohibitive for players who don't have the funds or aren't willing to grind them.

The game allows you to roll a new item by using a special tool from the items menu. This option lets you exchange the upgraded item for the level 1 version of it which comes with an additional set of bonus effects. This can be useful to get higher scores on items that are already upgraded, but it can also be a waste of resources.

Requirements

Upgrading is the procedure of increasing the level of equippable items like trinkets, weapons, and armor. This boosts their power and makes them more effective in battle. Players can upgrade their gear by spending the appropriate currency at an NPC that sells upgraders for items. Players should be aware of the fact that certain upgrades require special requirements.

Initial upgrades only boost the stats of the base item upgrading by one level. Later upgrades offer more significant boosts. Upgrades from levels 3 to 6 will boost the weapon's damage plus two levels. In addition the upgraded Item Upgrader kit will receive bonus stats, which is based on the level at which it was purchased. The bonus is a combination of a guaranteed substat and a randomly generated stat that will change from upgrade to upgrade.

A player can Reroll an upgraded item using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a brand new one. The new item comes with a different set extra bonuses, as well as a lower level for the item. The rerolled item also has different requirements for dexterity and strength. It is important to remember that the item rerolled will not be able to maintain its strength or have any of its wasted resources.

Certain upgraded items can only be rerolled if the original item was a Unique Epic, Rare or Rare. Additionally, exceptional items can be rerolled, however the original stats are replaced with an uncapped bonus. Rerolling a Rare item will result in a Normal version the same type, while rolling an Epic item will result in an Elite version of the same kind.

Upgraded items may have additional modifiers that can improve their performance and boost their stats. These additional modifiers are not included in the upgrade price. You can purchase them at the Trading Post, or through other players. They can be earned through completing specific missions in the game.

To upgrade an item of equipment, you need to visit the NPC [Armorto upgrade an item, visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. You will need Power Dices depending on the item. (Dice 6 is dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 is dropped by Bosses). You will also require various quantities of Minerals and Erons.

Time

Items upgrades can be used to increase the stats of your ship and gear without the need to upgrade them. Upgrades aren't cheap, but they can be a great way to boost your stats without having to spend so much time fighting. It's important to know the cost and benefits prior to investing your money or time.

Each upgrade increases an item's base stat by a specific amount and also offers a chance for a bonus substat increase. The random substat could range from a small boost to a much larger boost. It's best to focus on the Best item upgrader-in-slot items first, as they will yield a higher return on your investment.

You can view the time required to complete an upgrade by opening your inventory and selecting an item such as a ship, weapon or accessory. The upgrade window will display the progress and expected completion time. In some instances you may be able to speed up the process by using a Glyph.

Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage sell a top-quality salvage kit which allows you to retrieve all or a portion of upgrade components. However, this doesn't include legendary equipment or upgrades that can only be recovered by using an Upgrade Extractor, or by recovering them through the appropriate merchant of karma.

Rewards

The upgrading of items provides players with money and a variety of items. In addition, each upgrade is able to provide a random extra stat bonus. The amount of bonus differs between upgrades and is generally higher for rare items. Players can conduct a Great Vault search to see whether an item is upgradeable prior to purchasing tickets. The search can also determine if the item is of a certain tier and if the player could benefit from a particular upgrade.

During the upgrade process an item will gradually grow closer to its next level, but won't always reach a fully upgraded bar. The process will consume Growthstones and Sollant however there is an opportunity to achieve an item that is fully upgraded in only one cycle of growth. The higher the level an item attains, the greater its boosted stats value and the more items it can upgrade into.

Upgrade components can be inserted into weapons, armor and trinkets to give an attribute bonus, or a special effect, when the equipment is worn. Some upgrade components have additional cosmetic effects. Upgrade components can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving as a gift. Players can also find upgraded items by using an Upgrade extractor, or salvage with a high-tier salvage kit. Glyphs that are positioned on gathering tools can be swapped freely.

By selecting the item and pressing the green button that has an arrow for rerolling players can reroll it to create an upgradeable item. This will change the layout of the item's window, and allow players to select up to six items to "recycle". The item will be replaced with an item of level 1. Recycled items don't keep their level or the amount of resources used to upgrade them.

The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by its tier and the quality. Common items can be upgraded to a maximum of level six, while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to levels nine. The upgrades to items are added to its base statistics. This means that they will not increase further after a certain level.
