Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is a unique item that can make certain Pokemon evolve. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a photo disc and is sometimes given as a reward at Pokemon GO events.
The Upgrade can also be found in armor, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools to increase the level of their item. The upgrade cost Flightstones and crests, dependent on the type of item upgrading.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons, armors and gathering tools in order to provide attribute bonuses or other effects while the equipment being used. Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with an upgrade slot. The majority of upgrade components require that the item being upgraded is above a certain level. Some upgrade components have special effects that can be seen when they are applied. Upgrade components are available through crafting, purchased by Karma merchants or exchanged with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be rescued from equipment and received as rewards.
There are different upgrade components, each of which comes with a different bonus. Universal upgrades such as gems and inscriptions can be applied to any type of equipment. They provide fewer bonuses than other kinds of upgrade components. Infusions are able to be used on legendary and non-amulet items, while enrichments are able to be used on ascended back equipment. Inserting an upgrade component will destroy the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs, that can only be placed in gathering tools, as well as enchantments. Both are able to be removed and replaced.
Insignias, enchantments, and prefix/suffix upgrades will appear in the hover display of the item upgrader mod, while they are added to the equipment's name (e.g. an Radiant Insignia could change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item upgrades will show the number of upgrades that have been added to it.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, such as ligatures, fractions, ornaments, swashes, registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs panel allows you to see and insert these particular characters as well as standard glyphs such as em dashes and en dashes registered trademark symbols and glyphs that do not appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).
Each Glyph gives a character a boost in their primary stats. The glyph may also include up to four secondary stats that will alter the radius of your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats can be described as a %-increase that is multiplied when other bonuses have been applied, with the exception of Speed Glyphs which directly increase the speed of the hero.
Selecting the Glyphs and then clicking "enchant" will activate the Glyphs. This will bring up a new window that displays the Glyphs you have that can be applied to the selected item. You are only able to apply the correct Glyph to the selected item upgrader. Each weapon, jewelry, or armor piece has its own collection of Glyphs.
You can level up Glyphs by finishing Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult a dungeon is, the more Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph attains level 15 it can be upgraded at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The Paragon Board's radius increases by one node each 15 levels that a Glyph is upgraded.
Once a glyph has been leveled up to the desired level You can activate it by selecting it and then pressing the "enchant" button. The resulting glyph will offer its stated benefit and also boost all the other nodes in its range on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should go where they will benefit your build the most. This is why you should prioritise Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Some glyphs, however, could offer double bonuses if certain conditions are fulfilled, so they're worth looking out for too.
If you're having trouble finding a particular glyph click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a number of perspectives. Each of these views shows the Glyphs in a different font. You can narrow down the list of glyphs by selecting an option below "Entire Font". For example, punctuation is only displayed in punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limit the options to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling involves creating an account on a different account to increase your chances of getting a character or weapon you'd like. This can assist you in gaining more experience or to gain better loot, like a better weapon for your character. Many players reroll until they get the characters that they like regardless of their abilities. It could be that they like the style or the personality of the character.
When you reroll, it is important be sure that the changes you're making are clean. You should test locally if the patch passes pre-commit and run a core dev test. You should upload the patch with a clear distinction to a bug (see What is an interdiff?) ).
Rerolls may be weeks or days long depending on how lucky you are. To save time, avoid enemy camps that are optional during this time. You should also avoid re-doing quests which can be completed later on in the game. This will save time and energy.
Another crucial aspect to remember when rerolling is making sure that you are aware of the upgrade system. There are a variety of ways to boost your character's strength and appearance. Upgrades, rerolling characters and upgrading weapons are all options. It is also crucial to be aware of the limitations of the system.
Rerolling isn't a required element of the game however it can be beneficial to increase the chances of winning an item upgrader or character. It can be helpful in the case of trying to find the best character in the game or if you're looking to try out different builds and play styles.
Sets
A set is an object collection that has two common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or the members of a group). Sets permit operations like union, intersection and distinction.
When you upgrade a set item, it transforms into a different version of itself that is superior to the previous one. This means that armor and weapons will have a higher defense value and less strength requirements.
Upgrades can bring items that are popular from single sets up to parity with those in higher-level sets. For example, upgrading Guillaume's Face helm to Elite Spired Helm increases the defense from 217 to 321 while reducing the strength requirement and level requirement to a more attainable range.
However, it's important to note that not all set items are candidates for upgradation. Some sets, like the FB Sorc Whistan's shield or Naj's puzzler staff, are already exceptional in their own right and don't need upgrading. Certain items, like Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are often used, could require an upgrade to increase their stats. It could be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
