The item upgrader adds a brand new widget at the top of the Angel and Cash Upgrade windows. The Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no benefit in terms of gameplay other than making it easier to buy upgrades.
It boosts
There are a myriad of enhancements that can be obtained with an upgrader. They can include stats, as well as extra bonuses. These bonuses can be incorporated into weapons or armor, as well as trinkets. They can be used to improve the capabilities of an individual, or they can add an additional aspect of variety to a build.
The upgrade system in World of Warcraft allows players to increase the level of their gear by paying currencies at an item upgrader NPC. This system was introduced in Mists of Pandaria and was expanded with the introduction of Warlords of Draenor. It's a simple method to raise the level of your equipment, allowing you to skip the grind and avoid a lot of wipes in Mythic+ Dungeons.
If an item is upgraded its basic type will change. Upgrading a normal item creates an Exceptional item, while upgrading an Exceptional item will result in an Elite version of the base item. The item will be able to keep the stats it had prior to upgrading, and will receive an additional bonus from its new base type. This bonus is randomly chosen. It could be a weapon that has a greater damage range, an improved reloading speed, or an increased max defense roll.
The amount of extras gained when upgrading depends on the number of upgrades performed. Each upgrade will increase the corresponding extras by an increment of 1, up to a maximum value of 3. Additionally, each upgrade will also increase the stat that is used to determine the main one by 1.
Certain upgrades also give a secondary random boost in addition to stat increases. These secondary boosts can be extremely valuable and should be taken into consideration when choosing which items to upgrade. Some of these boosts can only be used in certain designs (such the Whistan's Shield, which is for FB Sorcs), while others are beneficial to collectors.
Certain items come with a built-in boos which is less beneficial when upgraded. For example, the Goldwrap has an extra potion slots. These are often upgraded to add more value to a nearly perfect item upgrader mod.
Costs
Upgrades have a few associated costs. The first is the cost of performing the upgrade. The cost is based on the new level of the item and the number of perks it will gain and is often expensive. It can also be costly to upgrade an item to a better tier (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).
The other is the cost of materials needed for an upgrade. The items used for upgrades are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21+) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable through completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). The quantity of these items required can be seen in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.
It takes time to upgrade an item. It can take 8 hours, depending on the magnitude of the upgrade. The base stats of the upgraded item are calculated based on its new ilvl and other characteristics. This calculation determines the updated Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other crucial statistics. In some instances, an upgrade can grant additional perks. These perks are available on a list.
Rarely, the new advantages acquired will cost more than one perk slot In these instances, the upgrade will only replace the highest-cost perks. The upgrader may also make other adjustments to the item, for example, changing its weapon damage type, or adding or removing an operative or unwieldy option. The cost for these modifications is based on the item's current ilvl and may require a special material like an adamantine alloy.
Success Rate
