World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template that is ending in % will suffer an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases as the item level rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give an extra stat boost or effect while they're in use. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment with a slot for them; the item must be at least upgraded to the blue level for a component to be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it's used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using less Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence characteristics of an armored weapon or. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or by buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear, even when they're not sure what can be improved upon a reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive, and it is possible that the item will be obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade items fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the chance of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes within their radius as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 as soon as possible.

In the final game you'll find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced by using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values can enhance a stat by. The value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use and also through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus which will boost a specific set of stat nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is Best item upgrade to put Glyphs in key locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For instance an Druid should try to position their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes but also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to improve the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires a different amount of components to be reached and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is leveled up.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level the item, and once enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player improves a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced by an item that is new. This means that the same armor piece will become the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This can be a downside, as the item can be more expensive even if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can waste many resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled multiple times which increases their value and giving players the ability to alter their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like dolphins). The item can be upgraded several times and increases the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is very valuable in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of the unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to upgrade the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items boost their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an item it is given the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can result in the item reverting to its original condition, which requires the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any gained bonuses, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The upgrade cost for non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item could have five upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. Players will still have to carry every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require the use of different ingredients needed to upgrade.
