WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boost in certain statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. A random extra substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item level upgrade upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item however they'll always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items which can be used to level up weapons tools, armor, and accessories. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgraders for a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor using the help of button, which will show a preview of the item when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and the current item upgrader kit level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

item upgrade upgraders can be found at many locations, including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of getting the latest recipe. The discount for upgrades increases with the number of items that are being upgraded. It is also possible to be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only accessible via a variety of ways. This is both a positive and an issue.

In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. When a player has an upgrade to a particular level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading other items to that same item level will cost less, even if they are part of an entirely different set of gear.

The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is cut as well, but is only available when certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

Players have a number of options when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific Item Level Upgrade level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in 4 ranks.

First, you should know that the crests can only be purchased for equipment of a certain rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade item paths. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the most complex can require as much as 20 crests depending on the type of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could be by engaging in outdoor activities or doing dungeons or raids in all difficulties to get lower-level gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with a heroic difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an item upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and routes.

The use of these currencies isn't that difficult, but the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. Once a piece of gear attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests in a wise manner, as they have only one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests with the best equipment available and save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan on making. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The discount for the entire account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
