Costs

It allows you to upgrade that piece of gear to the next level without having to worry about breaking.
If an upgrade is unsuccessful, the system will be restored to its initial state. This is typically an error, but it can also be a downgrade. Keep an upgrade in reserve until you reach the highest level for an item.
There are several items in the Kafra shop that can be used to boost the odds of a successful upgrade. You can boost your chances of success by enhancing your equipment repeatedly using HD Oridecon and HD Elunium.
