WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boost in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item upgrader kit will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the Item level Upgrade - https://kingranks.com - level, however they'll always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment. For example upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to level up weapons tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be applied to any weapon or tool using a button, which displays a preview of the item at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For instance weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Item upgraders can be found in a variety of locations, including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases depending on the amount of items that are being upgraded, and can be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades must be acquired through several methods that are both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3 the upgrade system was tweaked a bit, with some new features added. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a certain level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less, even if they are part of another set of gear.

The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced as well, but is only available once certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

Players have a number of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more special, and are used during specific Best item upgrader level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests can only be used to purchase equipment that is of a particular rank, and that each rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The most basic and straightforward upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the more complex one can require as much as 20 crests based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, raids or dungeons with all difficulty for items of higher tier, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item upgrade in the proper steps and routes.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it brings some changes to the process of upgrading. When a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment to the highest ilvl possible for all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests with care, since they are only used for one purpose. For instance it's a good idea use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrader equipment you have and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning to make. This is especially applicable to rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to take advantage of the discount for all accounts when all of the slots are full of high-quality equipment.
