The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are a new kind of item that provides a boost to your stats. You can upgrade armor, weapons and trinkets with these.
Item upgrades use a system known as "upgrade pity" to determine probabilities. This method is intended to reduce chances of losing and provide a good safety net while upgrading.
Armor
The item upgrader gives players the ability to upgrade items equipment levels of their armor, weapons and trinkets. The upgrades are applied to the gear through a visit to an item upgrader NPC with appropriate currencies. The stats of an item are also improved when upgrading it.
This NPC can be located in all major cities and is located in the city's corner square near a teleport point. The NPC can upgrade any weapon, armor, or trinket except for those which require a quest or crafting.
Note: The item used to upgrade your gear is destroyed forever. It is not possible to apply multiple upgrades to the same piece. If you try to do this, the previous upgrade will be overwritten.
Upgrade your gear to increase your damage, your survival and your overall power. For instance, if have new Benthic gear that you purchased from the War Within Mythic Dungeon, it will be ilvl 385 by default, and can be upgraded to a higher level with [Prismatic Manapearlsor [Prismatic Manapearls]. Upgrades to your PvE gear are available across all accounts, while upgrades for your PvP gear require a specific currency, like [Valorstones] or [Harbinger Crestsor [Harbinger Crests]. The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade additional pieces of gear in the same armor slot is reduced after the first upgrade of that gear.
Weapons
Weapons are a crucial part of any successful character. They can be used to stop a murderous monster, kill an intruder, or win a shooting competition. Or they can simply be hung on the wall. It doesn't matter how you intend to make use of the weapon. It is able to be upgraded and will alter with your style of play as time passes.
Upgrades to weapons can be made by visiting a blacksmith shop that has a Weapon Workbench. The Blacksmith Hewg, which is located in the right section of the Roundtable Hold hub, is an excellent choice to upgrade your main weapon. There is also a Smithing Master called Iji located at the "Road to the Manor" Site of Grace in the northwestern region of Liurna of the Lakes. Smithing Master Iji improves both armor and weapons.
As a general rule upgrading a weapon will increase its weapon level by 5. Azerite weapons (see below) or other weapons with special abilities will increase the ilvl by 15 for all upgrades. A player is limited to one active upgrade at any given point in time. If you attempt to upgrade a weapon while another upgrade is being applied the upgrade will fail and your weapon will be restored to its original level.
In addition to boosting the item level of a weapon, an upgrade will also grant it additional stats that can be used to boost the power of the weapon. Some of these improvements are passive, while others can provide greater damage, faster attack speed and increased range, or a greater strike chance.
Ashes of War weapons are awarded when certain raid bosses are defeated. Other upgrades can be applied to weapons that have Whetblades, which are rare items that allow you to unlock new Affinities to infuse the weapon with.
Once a weapon has been fully upgraded it will continue to receive upgrades for as long as the player has the correct upgrade materials and currency in the table. It is important to know that weapons can only be upgraded to ilvl 25, and no higher. This means that players should only upgrade their weapons once they've accumulated the maximum number of upgrades from regular and Whetblade items.
Trinkets
Trinkets are a special item that provide a wide variety of Boosts. They can be upgraded as other equipment through direct interaction with the Item Upgrader.
Stardew Valley is the place where you will find an upgrade tool for items. To access it, you must remove any weapons or armor. The NPC will then appear with the red banner "Equiped" over his head.
You can upgrade your weapon or armor by selecting him. You will need to bring the currency as well as the items to the NPC. When you do, the NPC will upgrade your gear, increasing its stats by one level.

In addition to the basic trinket upgrade, each one comes with additional capabilities that can be added. These can increase an item's effectiveness, but could require more materials or skills to acquire. Some items can be obtained through interaction with an NPC during the course of a quest. Others are available for drops from battlegrounds and dungeons.
The Item Upgrader NPC can be located in various locations throughout the game. Locations are listed on the map. Certain NPCs offer upgrades only for certain kinds of equipment, while others are able to upgrade any Best item upgrade. Certain NPCs also have additional benefits that are accessible to players who complete quests with them. The NPC at Shattering Rift gives players a new toy after they defeat the Ancient Beast. Similarly, the NPC at the Eastern Guard Tower offers a unique trinket for players who defeat the Ancient Beast.

This unlocks all stats that were restricted to the base requirement of the item or maxed-out version. These enhanced stats are what makes the upgraded version of an item more valuable than its base counterpart. There are exceptions to the rule. For instance when an item has inherently high requirements that limit its use (take Whistan's shield in Facebook sorcs as an example) or when an item has a low base stat that could be upgraded to achieve a high or perfect roll, then it will only be able to see the most limited use, and therefore gain little value.
