Item upgrades give players the ability to upgrade their equipment that they already own. This can be done through any item upgrader NPC.

Two NPCs can upgrade your weapon: the Blacksmith Hewg, located in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji, in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs will accept your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a higher-level version of the weapon as well as an upgrade.
It's important to prioritize upgrading your most-used items first, then items that you won't need to replace soon. Magic Items

A magical item could provide them with invisibility or make them invisible to everyone except the chosen person.
Utility Items
Utility items are those that do not fit into the categories of Armor, Clothing or Weapons and have various capabilities. Unlike Armor and Weapons, no one utility item upgrader will be in conflict with the other. The majority of utility items have an effect that a player can activate by using them but some also have additional capabilities that are triggered when the user presses a button or activates an ability.
The most popular type of utility item is the Flashlight that illuminates the surrounding area. Other items of utility include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to be floating in the air while moving, and the Jetpack, which allows the player to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. In the Engineering section, you can instantly produce several utility items, while others are only available through Research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
Players can unlock more powerful utility items in addition to the ones that are available in their normal inventory by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items can be upgraded for more effective use.
The majority of utility items give players an advantage in navigation or enhance the ability to fight.
