WoW Upgrades - The item upgrade Upgrader
Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.
Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless the item upgrader mod is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in every major city, and is accessible at any time to upgrade your equipment. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.
Upgrades will cost more, based on the item level, however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with an button, which displays a preview of the item when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the slot for the item and the current level of the item. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currency types.
Many locations have upgraders for their items in addition to the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and the chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases with the number of items being upgraded. It can also be boosted by having players complete some specific achievements or complete quests.
In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no item upgrader available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades are acquired via a variety of means which is both an improvement but also a drawback.
In Season 3 the upgrade system was altered a bit, with numerous new features added. Once a player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is even if the items are from another set of gear.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players have reached certain achievement milestones.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW players have a couple of choices. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that crests are only available for equipment that is with a certain rank. Each rank comes with a different upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade route costs 15 crests while the more complex one may require as many as 20 crests depending on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can obtain crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, raids or dungeons of any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for endgame gear. These crests can be exchanged with an item level upgrade (metooo.co.uk) upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and paths.
Using these new currencies isn't too difficult, but the system introduces some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it no longer requires Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to get their gear up to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.
It's also essential to use crests wisely, as they only have one use. It is Best item upgrade to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear that you can find and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to take advantage of the discount for all accounts when all slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
