The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced two gear upgrade currencies, Valorstones and Harbinger Crests. These currencies can be exchanged at the NPCs who upgrade items, Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item may be upgraded to its maximum level only once for the slot. After that upgrades to that slot will be less expensive. The pity system, introduced in The War Within, also lowers the extreme upgrade variance.
Upgrades
Upgrades are components that improve performance or add new features. Upgrades can be earned or purchased through a variety of methods including through events in the game or cash shop items.
In contrast to enchantments, which can be added to any item, upgrades are tied to specific items and can only be used on those items. This means that an upgrade can only be applied to a weapon when it already has the equipment of the player. However, some items can be upgraded many times, providing a much greater benefit to the wearer of the item.
The concept of upgrades is fairly new. It was introduced in patch 4.1.0. The upgrade system allows the player to add additional enhancements to their equipment to increase it's strength. It could range from merely strength boosts to massive damage and defence boosts. The upgrades are split into tracks and each track has a limit on the amount of upgrade that can be done. Those limits are designed to prevent players from spamming low keystone dungeons for equipment and then upgrading it to the top.
Consumables, weapons, and armor are all upgradeable. Most gear can be upgraded as it drops however, certain items (such as Ornn's gear, or the baby Dracolich pet) cannot be upgraded. It is possible to upgrade gear by purchasing an upgrade recipe from a vendor and combining it with the item upgrader kit that is in the appropriate upgrade slot. The icon of the item or searching for it in the shop will show how many upgrades that piece of equipment is equipped with.
The upgrade system has two major drawbacks. The second is that it can be difficult to determine the items that are upgradeable as the upgrade vendors don't always show all of them. The upgrade textures are rendered over the model of the item which hides enchantment information and other information.
Upgrades can be costly. Each step in a gear's stage of upgrade will cost a certain amount of Valorstones, or crests, based on the slot and the item upgrader mod level. Weapons, for instance, require more Valorstones and crests to upgrade. Cash shop items can help reduce the cost.
Recycle
In the wake of growing awareness of how single-use products and wasteful habits contribute to environmental degradation, many people are changing their shopping habits. Others are prioritizing recycled items and seeking out the highest recycled content in their purchases. Recycling is an integral element of this process and it has become easier for consumers to find. Many items, including furniture and paper, have a recycled component to them. This means they're made from recycled or scrap materials and it's simple to purchase recycled items on the internet or in the stores. These products are not only more eco-friendly and cost less, but they're also more affordable than the equivalent products.
When an item is leveled up, it gains extra bonuses along with its improved stat. These bonuses are based on its tier, and they vary from one type of bonus to the next. Those with the higher tiers will be able to enjoy higher bonuses than those on lower tiers.

Rerolls
Rerolling is an essential feature in Genshin Impact, or any other gacha game. It allows players to try their chances of getting a particular weapon or character that they either prefer due to aesthetic reasons or because they believe that it's a good fit on their team.
Rerolls function by allowing players to refresh the items that are available for the current wave for a small amount of materials. The prices of these weapons increase depending on the number of rerolls in a row increases, though certain items might not be offered in any way (for example weapons that are melee will never appear for characters who can only use weapons with a range).
As an item upgrading increases in stats, it enters the Staple Pool where it gains additional bonuses. They are based on the nature of the item it is. Rerolling doesn't reset an item's current levels of bonus, but the player will be required to meet the minimum requirements for stats to qualify for the special ability. It can be difficult to find a high-level item with the bonuses you desire however, this gives them the opportunity to try another option in future without spending any more resources.
Upgrading an item won't just improve its extra bonuses, but it will also give the item a tier boost and, consequently, it will receive a certain amount of bonus stats if upgraded in the future. This is a big reason why it's important to only upgrade gear as far as you can, as when you reach a level that upgrades will not make a huge difference it's pointless.
Sets
A set is a set of items that are connected by a particular property. They are commonly employed in the area of mathematics and are represented using an equivalence notation such as . Item Upgraders work differently for unique, set and rare items. The item will typically be upgraded to its new type once it is upgraded to level 10. For instance, an upgrade of an item that is unique and has the highest defense roll will result in an elite armor item Upgrader kit with the same base type. It is not a sure result, but there are some cases where an upgrade won't alter the basic type of item.
It is recommended that players prioritize upgrading their BiS (Best item upgrader in Slot) items first, then non-BiS items. This will ensure that players have an excellent foundation to build on for leveling up, and they can concentrate on boosting their tiers and gaining extra stats.
