Components
In computer technology an upgrade is an upgrade of software or hardware with a version that provides new functions or features. Upgrades are typically performed to make the system faster and more reliable, or capable of handling greater amounts of data. Hardware upgrades can include storage devices such as hard disk drives, processors and motherboards. Computer upgrades must always be compatible with specifications of the computer being upgraded.
In Guild Wars 2, upgrade items are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to provide an attribute bonus or additional effects while the equipment is in use. To accept a component an item must be in a slot for an upgrade and be at an appropriate level.
Components can be purchased from vendors in Night City, obtained by disassembling items that aren't working or are found in random locations around the world. Unlike weapons and gear components, they can be purchased from vendors even if they're not level-appropriate or high-leveled.
There are a variety of components. Universal upgrades (such as gems) can be placed on all equipment, but they offer fewer bonuses than those that are restricted to a specific kind. Jewels however, are only able to be placed in trinkets, and offer more bonuses than other upgrade item.
There are also inscriptions, which are special upgrade items that are only placed in a trinket, and can be used to add an experience multiplier. They can be extremely useful to min/max a character since they are relatively inexpensive to purchase, however they do not stack with any other experience modifiers.
Infusions can be added to armor that is non-ascended and legendaries as well as other non-legendary items. You can recover them by using the tool to extract them or salvaging them using the Ascended Rescue Tool. One thing to remember is that upgrading an item with infusions can cause the item to be given a unique name. For instance for example, if you put an Inscribed Rune of Minor Vigor on an Tyrian Armor, it will display the name "Radiant Tyrian Armor." Similar to an inscribed weapon will appear in its hover display as an Inscribed Weapon.
Glyphs
Glyphs are the items that increase a specific substat of a piece of gear. You can find them in a variety of places, however the most common is by the completion of Nightmare Dungeons or Helltides. You can also obtain them by visiting the Faction Crypts. The Glyphs you find in the crypts are class-specific, therefore be sure to claim only the ones that pertain to your character. Once you have a lot of Glyphs, you can go to the Glyph Altar located in the middle of Teleria to spend them. This altar will increase the value of your item that is enchanted by a certain amount, depending on which Glyph you are using.
Generally, the glyphs that are available will increase your primary stats, but certain glyphs will also have other effects, such as increasing damage, healing, or resistance. Glyphs can be an excellent method to upgrade your gear however they can be difficult to access and use. The Best item upgrade way to make sure you are getting the most out of your glyphs is to upgrade them regularly. Glyphs that have been upgraded will appear in your inventory.
Some items dropped have the default glyph, which will automatically increase when you upgrade the item. This only applies to glyphs that were manually crafted onto the item, not the original enchantment. Glyphs that automatically upgraded will always have an upper rank than the glyph you created manually on the item.
Glyphs of Insight are an important part of the crafting system used in the Last Epoch. They permit you to transform a prefix into an affix that is experimental on gloves, boots, and belts. Glyphs of insight can be difficult to obtain, since the RNG component of their creation can cause them to be not available when you need them. To assist with this, we've designed a Glyph of Insight Crafting Spreadsheet to guide players through their journey.
Some tips to get Glyphs of Insight quicker include choosing shorter dungeons that are easier to complete, such as Witchwater. This dungeon follows a linear layout, which makes it easy to traverse and take on enemies. It's also an excellent idea to consume health potions in between dungeon runs to speed up the process.
Rerolling
Rerolling involves replacing an upgrade item with another item of the same type. This alters its extra stats, but it does not alter the level of the item or a unit's attachment slot. The price of the item is determined by its rarity and its level. This can be done with rings, armors, and weapons.
Upgrade items are accessories that are used to boost the stats of units in Guild Wars 2. These items are available in a broad selection and can improve a number of different characteristics. Upgrades increase the health, spell power and physical power of weapons, armors and rings. They also add a range of other abilities to the unit. The player can utilize an item by placing it in its corresponding slot on the model's portrait.
Players can upgrade their items by recycling them, which will fill a progress bar and increase the item's upgrade value. Recycling up to six items simultaneously is possible, and the points earned for recycling increase depending on the rarity and value of the item upgrader Kit. The upgrade is random and cannot be confirmed.
Rerolling or not is dependent on the player's preferences. Some players reroll to ensure they have a solid set of characters to carry their game. Others may decide to not reroll, as they prefer to play with their favourite character, no regardless of how powerful.
Rerolling is expensive and takes a lot time, so it is crucial to weigh the pros and cons thoroughly. Ask other players for advice when you're not sure of the method of rerolling to use.

Although the additional stats added by an upgrade item upgrades can aid an build, their effects aren't always the most beneficial. For instance, a high breaking point item with a high dps may not benefit as much from being upgraded when there's already a flawless or nearly perfect non-upgraded version that is the same item (whistan's shield for FB sorcs comes into mind). A unique affix could be a valuable feature of an item, and it may also be useful in its original form.
