Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrading gear increases its base stats, and sometimes boosts its extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements and how many random augmentations are made available.
For instance, the premium shield of racial violence Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb ability in PvP, or to add additional defenses on missile based builds in PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the un-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to roll a purchased item upgrades like armor, weapon, or ring. The item is replaced with another item of the same type however with different bonuses. Reroll tokens are an affordable option to upgrade equipment. They don't maintain the original equipment's condition and any money wasted won't get compensated.
The surviving players can acquire Reroll tokens in a variety of ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They are also available in chests and crates or purchase them at the market for $150 each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attributes of a piece equipment, for example increasing its damage.
Players can roll equipment in three categories: physical power, spell power and health. Upgrades to physical power boost the damage of melee and weapons attack and spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
Three types of reroll tokens are available: upgrade rare and legendary. Each of these upgrades an item to a better quality, with the requirement of an upgraded reroll token in order to produce it. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item level upgrade, while rare upgrades require a unique or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
The marker that rerolls, unlike markers or tokens placed on action spaces remains on the space till the next success is to be rerolled. This helps to prevent the waste of upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase, and can be opened by grabbing them using Interact. When they are opened, they will display an explanation and icon for the Ingredient or Appliance. Blueprints can be exchanged for a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's shop for the amount of coins.
During an event, blueprints may be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool as a result of the choice of Franchise Cards. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop offers for rerolls and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve weapons, armor and other accessories. These stones are special stones which increase the value of an item by improving its stats or attributes. These items can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a price. They can also be purchased by players who have completed daily contracts.
To upgrade their gear players first need to identify the appropriate item, and then click on the "level up" button. The menu will be displayed showing the item's current level and what it will be after being leveled up as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the gear will depend on its rarity. Most often rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas rare armor requires just one green or blue Growth Stone.
After deciding what to upgrade, players must select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. When the requirements are met, the player can then click on the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level a certain percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item and rarity, the upgrade process could take between seconds and minutes.
The upgrade process is risk-free and does not affect the item's longevity. This makes the system an excellent method for players to gain an advantage in battle without putting a strain on their bank account. Clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer their experience and progress of an upgraded item to an entirely new piece of equipment.
New players may find it difficult to acquire Growth Stones. There are a variety of ways to acquire these stones, such as completing contracts and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, collecting them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from reward chests of the Ancient Arena season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that lets players increase the base stats of weapons, armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials, and also pay a cost in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will consume the upgrade materials and grant the item a higher level, granting the item an additional boost in that area. This process can be repeated until the highest level for an item is reached.
Items with upgraded stats will be displayed as a blue icon next to their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, can't be applied to more than one item upgrader mod at a time. Furthermore each upgrade component will require a certain quantity of items to be added in addition to a minimum amount for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station features two slots: the first is where players can put in an item to be upgraded, and the right side shows a glimpse of what the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. Once a player has enough materials, pressing the yellow arrow will begin the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time the item is upgraded, its stats will be increased by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.
Once an item has reached its maximum level, its upgrades will not be available to it. Also, when an item reaches a certain upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track ) they will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a type of equipment that is able to be inserted into weapons, armors trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons to provide an additional effect or benefit while the equipment is equipped. They can be bought from vendors, looted or obtained through quests or exchanged between players. Upgrade components can be changed with new ones. However, this can ruin the previous upgrade.
Requirements
Upgrades to items give players the ability to increase certain attributes of weapons and armor they currently have equipped. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary based on the type of item, but typically you'll need Dilithium and a variety of Upgrade Tokens (various options available).
The upgrade items (read this) can be incorporated into equipment set pieces and weapons for extra effects or a higher item level. These upgrades can come from many sources, including crafting, buying from the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting during bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component has been inserted into an object, it isn't able to be removed or replaced. However it is possible to swap glyphs freely.
Upgrades can boost the Mark Level or Rarity. In addition, certain upgrade components have additional modifiers that could further improve the item's stats.
The helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" for instance, increases defense base and gives an additional 20 percent chance to block. In addition the dps enhancement "Wildfire" increases damage to weapons.
Some items benefit from being upgraded less because of their improved stats, but more because it lets players get the most value out of a perfect roll on the item. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for instance is highly sought-after by the melee PvP communities and can be worth 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.
The game will show you the requirements once you choose the upgrade component to be incorporated into the item. The game will show the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
The game will place an item in your inventory once you have completed the prerequisites for an upgrade items. The progress bar will update to show you how far you are to finishing the upgrade. You can also check the status of an item upgrade by visiting any NPC who upgrades items.
