1. Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Double
The City Tour 2 Double is the smallest double stroller in the Baby Jogger range. It's designed to travel and easily fits through the majority of standard doorways with its ultra-narrow design, it's also one of the lightest double buggies that are available, weighing only 14lbs when folded. It's perfect for traveling with a toddler and a newborn as you won’t over-exceed airline baggage allowances. It also folds up to the size of a backpack and can be tucked away in the back of your car when not being used.
It's easy to fold the Z-shape using one hand. Once you've gotten used to it, it's compact and can be folded in a matter of seconds. Our tester found the auto-lock a bit confusing, and because the handlebar does not lock into the position you push it into, it hit her leg when she used it. The handlebar was a bit too short, especially with a big changing bag hanging off of it.
In contrast to other travel buggies that are lightweight that aren't loaded with features and is one of the most full-featured double strollers available. It can be used with two carrycots (available separately), features several recline positions and comes with a UV 50+ canopy. You can even add the bassinet to either or both seats and transform it into a travel system.
The four rubber composite tires are great for pavements and urban terrain. However, they're not designed for off-roading. They had a hard time with long grass and gravel and there wasn't enough clearance between the wheel bracket and the wheel and mud sank easily. Our tester loved this buggy and was able to climb pretty muddy hills.

It's a heavier tandem double buggy buggie, however, it's very easy to drive and use particularly on smooth roads. It feels stable in both single and double mode and even on sloping ground. It's not as easy to use on public transport since it requires two hands to hold the handlebar. It's also heavy and will not fit into the standard car boot with the seat in place, but this can be overcome with careful planning. iCandy includes a footmuff and changing bag in the price, so this is an excellent value package for parents who are just starting out.

5. Nipper Double V5
The Nipper Double V5 is a refreshed version from Out 'n' About of the award-winning buggies that can be used on all terrains. It is specifically designed for twins or siblings, and comes with recliner chairs that are independent, compatible with carrycots, as well as lightweight frame that allows for easy manoeuvrability on bumpy terrain.
The height-adjustable handle and rear wheel suspension ensure the most comfortable ride for children up to 22kg. The tough pneumatic tyres, that are easy to clean, also offer a smooth ride when jogging. The 360-degree swivel can be locked in place to make it easier to manoeuvre around town. The one-pedal easy lock brake is also easy to use.
Our test participants found that the Nipper Double was incredibly easy to manoeuvre, even when walking off on uneven ground or turning fast in the middle of a busy street. The feature that the seats can be reclined independently was an enormous hit.
The hoods were also easy to adjust for sun or wind protection. They didn't offer as much coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It's worth having an additional rain cover in the case.
Overall, our testers were impressed by the Nipper double's ability to allow them to take their twin pushchairs daughters Sydney and Lyla to all sorts of adventures. From exploring the forest for wildlife to rushing to a park to play with their friends they were thrilled. They were also amazed by how cosy and spacious the two seats are, with plenty of space for growing toddlers to stretch out in. Our testers did note, however, that the lack of a parent-facing seating and the inability of using car seats in this buggy was a drawback and they would have liked to have more storage space for shopping and other gear.
