WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades can give you boosts in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.
The upgraded gear typically has a greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for the latter due to the need to roll an exact version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in all major cities and is accessible anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.
Upgrades can cost more based on the item upgrader kit level, but they will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are functional items that are used to improve the quality of weapons and tools, armor and other items. They can be purchased by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool using the help of button, which displays an image of the item at the next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.
The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the Item Level upgrade (funsilo.date) and the current level of the item and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.
Item upgraders can be found in a variety of locations on the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and the chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases depending on the amount of items being upgraded. It is also possible to be boosted by having players complete specific achievements or quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. Instead, the NPCs that can be used to upgrade must be acquired through a variety of means that are both an improvement and a drawback.
In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade items system. Once a player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This is regardless of whether the items come from a different set of equipment.
The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade is reduced and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players reach certain milestones in their achievements.
Crests
Players have a number of choices when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1 and are available in 4 ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests can only be used on gear of a specific rank, and each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and simplest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade requires up to 20 crests, contingent on the type of gear being upgraded.
Players can obtain crests by completing content of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, dungeons or raids of all difficulties for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for endgame gear. These crests can then be exchanged at an item upgrader mod upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.
The new currency system isn't complicated to use, however it does bring some changes to the process of upgrading. Once a piece of gear reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their equipment to the highest ilvl possible for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests wisely, as they only have one use. For instance, it's best to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the top equipment available and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan to make. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount for the entire account will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
