Upgrade components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to give an added benefit or additional effect when the equipment is utilized. They can be bought from vendors or other players, looted or obtained as rewards, or made with crafting materials. Alongside providing bonus attributes, upgrade items can also have cosmetic effects.

Infusions, inscriptions and enhancements are types of upgrade component. They are not accessible to the general public and are only available on equipment that is ascended or on certain weapons that are not ascending from the Factions Campaign. Infusions, inscriptions and enrichments can be retrieved from equipment by using an Infusion Extraction Device, or salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.

Unlike other upgrade items Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items, can be traded while still attached to the item upgrades that they are upgrading, and can be reused after being reclaimed. These upgrade items are the best method to increase the quality of your weapon and armor quality without spending Dilithium, as they can increase the odds of receiving an upgrade by two times.

Upgrade components can be added to an item upgrades but the previous one is destroyed (except for legendaries and Ascended equipment). Upgrade components are only available to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or greater. If you upgrade the weapon already equipped with a suffix or prefix upgrade the item will be named in the same way as it appears on the game screen (for example adding a Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor makes it Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player can only own three upgrade items at a time.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be a great accessory to any item. They provide unique advantages and boosts. Some Glyphs can also increase the number of affixes attached to an item, increasing the overall power of the item. These glyphs are obtained by the completion of dungeons. Some can even be found in certain World Tier 3 zones. It is important to keep in mind that glyphs are only available to players who have created a root-dungeon with the same level of depth.

To make use of a Glyph you first have to create it with components and then connect them via anchors. The component will then automatically align with other components or paths within the same layer. If you don't wish to create the glyph with components, you can use the combination of anchors and paths. Drag an element in the direction of an element highlighted to snap it into its place.

Some glyphs require certain conditions to be met for example, 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Some also require a certain number of Primary Stat nodes to be activated and can be a challenge to attain. Certain glyphs have a radius that grows with each level.

Glyphs can be applied to various items and weapons, except for those of a specific class. Certain glyphs can be used with additional requirements, for example an amount of damage to Dexterity or attack damage in a particular portion of the Paragon board.

The Defend Glyph has a 5% chance to block enemy attacks. It also has a 15% chance to render the Hero vulnerable for 2 turns.

There are a few glyphs that can be applied to tools that are limited-use like the Black Lion Chest or Trading Post. These glyphs contribute to the Combat Mechanic Achievement.

The most common glyphs in the game are the attack ones that increase Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed value. These glyphs are especially useful for classes that rely on weapons with a range, such as Warriors or Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph, which makes enemies who hit the Hero susceptible to damage.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are special tokens that can be used to roll back one of the results that are rolled when performing an Action. They are removed after the reroll has occurred. Reroll tokens can be obtained in a variety of ways, like dungeons and raids, or through participating in skirmishes. They can also be bought in the store or from other players. They are particularly beneficial in dungeons or trials, as they allow players to reroll rewards at the end of the chest.

The values for recycling points are provided for items at the level 1. If an item is recycled it will add a certain number of points to the upgrade gauge. This value is based on both the item's rarity and level. The upgraded item will not be able to keep its level when rerolled and the cost of recycling an upgraded item increases as its level increases.

Alternately, players can use reroll tokens in order to roll an upgrade item again however this will not bring the item back to its original state or give it its original statistics. This is useful for players who wish to reroll an item they don't love, but want to keep it in their collection.

Three types of upgrade coins are available in the game - Reroll, randomly generated and upgrade. Each type has several subtypes. Reroll tokens, for example come in three types that are rare, legendary, and enhanced. Each level requires an item from the level in order to create an item of that level.

To make use of reroll tokens, click on the Satanic or Angelic item in the inventory and select "Reroll Token". Then, choose a type of token. The tokens that are available include Item Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns, and Focus. The Item token can be used to create an Item in any quality. A Weapon or Misc token will create a brand new weapon of the same faction.

There is also the possibility that the item will be upgraded to a new item that has a higher level and the same additional stats. This will occur if the item has been placed in the Pool that is not droppable, or if it was transferred to the pool as part of a franchise card.
