The Iora is an infant bassinet designed to help parents feel more connected to their baby as they sleep. It can be adjusted upwards and downwards, and moved through three different positions for sliding to fit under the bed of the parent or in the corner to ensure that the infant is always at hand. The Iora is a smaller bedside cot that can fold flat. It also comes with a travel bag to allow it to be carried anywhere. Our mom testers were able to move it from room to room, and believed that it was a suitable size for a bedside cot, and not too big or small. The large storage basket is perfect to store extra bedding or nappies.
This is a great choice for parents who are looking to co-sleep but don't want to share their own beds, or whose partners might have mobility issues, like arthritis or back pain. Our mum testers were thrilled to be able to easily access their child while in the Iora and that it included an option to have a reflux incline which helped reduce gas.
Our mums are thrilled that the mattress adheres to NICE guidelines. These include placing an infant in the Moses basket or crib on its own without blankets, toys and pillows. They also state that the mattress is comfortable and firm for the baby and easy to find sheets for. It's not as light as some of the cribs that are smaller on our list, so if you prefer something lighter and easier to move around, consider a different option.
